As much as we all joke that we would like to see this the reality is that we won't. As someone who is proud of America again, I actually would hate to see it. They need to wise up and realize the opportunities in our country still far outweigh anywhere else in the world, and it will only get better.
Maybe if you're a part-time barista and pothead, you don't see it my way, though. . .

I'd love to see them actually secede, but let's not go full retard. Was Austria ever part of NATO? No. Would NATO have ever tolerated a Soviet move on Austria? No. Oregon could secede and the US would no doubt still commit to its defense.
So let's focus on the really funny stuff. No federal highway dollars. Tariffs. Visas. No federal welfare assistance.
And the best one of all?
Elimination from the Social Security system.
Oregon should enact a one year voluntary test run.
For one year, refuse any federal tax dollars. Refuse all federal welfare. Refuse all federal education dollars. See how it feels.

Whenever they talk about this stuff, they are really just talking about the yahoos and dipshites who live in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco and parts of LA - rest of California especially Central Valley is all Trump - just like outside Portland, the rest of Oregon is all red.
