Puerto Rico got 91 Billion Dollars for the hurricane, more money than has ever been gotten for a hurricane before, & all their local politicians do is complain & ask for more money. The pols are grossly incompetent, spend the money foolishly or corruptly, & only take from USA....

....The best thing that ever happened to Puerto Rico is President Donald J. Trump. So many wonderful people, but with such bad Island leadership and with so much money wasted. Cannot continue to hurt our Farmers and States with these massive payments, and so little appreciation!

That tweet is spot on, in another thread on this board someone stated that Puerto Rico gave out bonuses to government workers with relief money.

I've worked with many Puerto Ricans, and though wonderful hard working Catholic people, they readily admit that their country is politically corrupt and pilfered top down by the Aristocrats and local leaders.
They also freely acknowledge that though they know their island is on the Government tit. And though they bust @ss personally working for family, they view the USA as an ATM, having great socialistic expectation that taxpayer dollars should just flow to PR.

The U.S. doesn’t “need” Puerto Rico. The U.S. doesn’t “need” Wyoming. But Wyoming IS a state and Puerto Rico IS a U.S. territory and its citizens ARE U.S. citizens. Each citizen of Puerto Rico has the same rights and is owed the same obligations as you and me.

What The Don tweeted is absolutely correct and it is about time that our government quit wasting money on these corrupt countries.
I know though, my feels and all, those poor people and I get it but, the money is siphoned off by the corrupt bureaucrats before it gets to them. They deserve what they elected or choose to leave in power.

As for this thread, I have always had great respect for the office of President of the United States. I find Trump’s daily Twitter fits to be offensively below the office. He conducts himself as a spoiled child. Unfortunately too many of his followers mimic his tantrums.
