Trump was elected last time to build a wall.

Trump was elected the first time because more voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania voted 3rd party than usual to avoid voting for Clinton.

Go look up the votes from 2016, smooth brain.

He wasn't elected so much as she was rejected.

He tried.

So what you're saying is that he was ineffective. I wonder if that could have something to do with his infantile habit of issuing junior-high level insults at anyone he perceives as not being 100% blindly loyal to whatever he says or does. Like you.

quote:

but he has never been this mythical "fiscal conservative" never-Trumpers like you are currently re-writing him as

WHAT?

This is how I know you are an idiot.

First of all, you are an idiot to call someone who voted for Trump three times a "Never-Trumper."

Secondly, who has EVER said Trump was fiscally conservative? That's one of the biggest things that actual conservatives DON'T like about him. And that's always been the case. WTF are you even talking about with this nonsense?

quote:

It certainly wasn't brought up when Bush was forgiving mass debt, bailing out banks and waging never-ending wars around the globe. I didn't hear it when warmonger McCain was heralded as the heir apparent or when the GOP ran a left-wing venture capitalist as "the sober voice of business".

More idiocy. How old are you? Do you not remember the whole TEA Party movement? Being upset with Republicans for promising things like fiscal responsibility but never delivering it was one of the central planks of the entire movement.

The only explanation I have for why you don't remember the things you say you don't remember is that you aren't very intelligent. Either that or you are about 16 years old.

The TEA Party movement is what led to a climate in which someone like Trump could able to win office in the first place, short bus. The base finally got fed up with the Republicans lying to them and instead of demanding real conservatives the base decided to do the dumbest thing possible and shift to collectivist populism instead.

You want to do something about spending? It starts and ends with the federal reserve.

Yeah? Exactly how does it "end" with the federal reserve? This should be good.

Even so, 38 fiscally conservative House Republicans just told Trump to pound sand on federal spending.

And they are correct.

Funny how they were heroes when they wouldn't go along with Mccarthy but villains when they won't go along with Trump.

I wouldn't know, since I voted for him in 2016. And 2020. And 2024.

Are these "Never-Trumpers" like the "Ron-Bots" y'all create out of thin air?

I am interested to see what happens, for sure.

"Do I turn on my cult leader b/c Huckster Carlson says I should, or do I convince myself that Trump is playing 8-d chess and his support is for a whole different reason?"

I think some of their heads will explode.

Sure they do. They just have to be someone who is intelligent enough to move past completely binary thought process and allow for some nuance of thought. IQ north of 105, maybe?

Which is, of course, why you can't conceive of it.

This is the only account I've ever had here.

I get it. There aren't many posters here with IQs high enough to do what I posted above, but there are more than one.

Again, not really.

See the requirements for understanding that as a perfectly reasonable possibility above.

Weirder how all of the biggest cultists deny being cultists while defending the cult just as it was predicted that they would as binary cultists.

You could literally replace Trump with Biden in that post and you've just described your life in 2020-2024
