Rationale of going cashless aside (robbery rate would go way down)....its your business do as you like... but to declare them racist and discriminatory?

Well we know minorities can’t figure out how to use a debit card

How racist of him to assume that poor, black and Hispanic people only pay for services with cash.

He's probably talking about illegals that don't use banks

Whether you agree with him on race or not, there's a privacy aspect to this. Cashless means you're being tracked.

Wait...does this really work?

Credit cards are a form of ID and we have been told for years now that expecting someone black to have an ID is racist.

So now....according to liberals....minorities are not only too stupid and lazy to get an ID card....they are also incapable of using a debit card.

Yep. Liberals sure have a high opinion of minorities, don't they?

The notion that it's racist is stupid.
However, every note of US currency states "This note is legal tender for all debts public and private." I don't know it that statement is enforceable by law, but that would be a federal issue I suppose.
edit: found this on one website: "The short answer is that federal legal tender laws require creditors to accept payment denominated in dollars, but generally do not require businesses to accept any particular form of payment -- such as cash."

On the surface, cashlessness seems benign, but when you reflect on it, the insidious racism that underlies a cashless business model becomes clear. In some ways, making a card a requirement for consumption is analogous to making identification a requirement for voting. The effect is the same: It disempowers communities of color.
but logistically, no cash means not having to carry cash on Hand to give change. means no trip to the bank to make a deposit. card only makes it easier to tabulate receipts at the end of the day and batch out deposits. dont need a register, just a means to run a card
i would imagine makes running a business easier...

It's not a requirement for consumption. It's only a requirement for purchasing goods or services from a very small number of vendors. You can still consume, just not from those vendors.

Hey, black people here in Shreveport do their banking at Thrifty Liquor. And who owns those stores? Bunch of white people. It's racism.

Really that's the only issue. In America we have the dollar as currency. If you offer a service or product for a dollar price. You have to accept it unless you have reason to believe that it's counterfeit or no way of breaking the bill.
Now if they only allowed you to pay in chickens or cheesewheels. That dog might hunt.

Then don't shop there...
See how easy that was...

I disagree when I was in Los Angeles a few weeks ago a young African-American homeless guy hit me up for cash. I told him that I don't carry cash so he pulled out his phone and told me I could donate some money to him via credit card through the Square App he set up on his cell phone.
Never ever underestimate the ingenuity of someone because of their skin color! These same minorities you make fun of know the US & local government program assistance policies and procedures better than you will ever know and most know intracies to these different handout programs than the attorneys who drafted them for the government do. It is very naive to think poor people who live off the system are uneducated and stupid.

The quote I posted above was in response to a policy American Airlines apparently put into place a few years ago, and their announcement that they would no longer accept cash for in flight purchases.

If you won't allow people to stick you up, you're a racist POS.
