Correct.

Malnourished means they are eating, just the wrong stuff.

Microwaved cheap foods.

You do this a lot. You say random things that you claim I believe and they're usually wrong.

Why do you do this? Why do you feel the need to speak for me? I clearly know how to post.

No reason for kids to go hungry. People are given food stamps. Kids in school are given free meals. In my hometown, kids get free school meals during summer break delivered to their home. There are food banks with stocked shelves.

This 1 in 6 crap is a lie.

No, I realize the poor have the ability to be more successful, unlike yourself.

Weird how we have generational poverty here. “No opportunity!” “Racism!” “Bigotry!” The generational poor yell and scream and holler.

Fresh off the boat legal immigrant comes over. English is their 3rd language. Broke as frick. Within a decade they are out of poverty. Their children end up going to college and get a great degree.

Ohhhhhh immigrant paradox. How I love thee. How you spit in the eye of the bigoted democrat who sees the poor and downtrodden as worthless and helpless.

How you prove that, no, it isn’t the system working against you. It’s you working against yourself.

So they are choosing to poison their bodies just for shits and giggles. Gotcha.

A) They probably don't realize how bad their food choices are, because they're not bright.
B) they go for "quick and easy" ALWAYS, including their food choices. The term "delayed gratification" is absent from their lexicon.

You just admitted you are OK with LIES if it helps you achieve your goal.

You do realize what you just did, correct?

Then why do I disagree with nearly everything you post? Don't you think you would have been able to influence me by now?

Because you trust idiots to educate you.

We have gone beyond whats necessary to lift the poor. Whats left is there by choice.

They quite literally are.

I can live off of bread and water. I will be malnourished. I will not be hungry. I will not starve to death. AFTER YEARS OF BEING MALNOURISHED I can die from OTHER things more easily.

If I am STARVING, then I will eventually die. Well before the YEARS LATER death I will get from malnourishment.

Starvation will also be the ACTUAL CAUSE of death. Whereas with malnourishment, some other sickness will be the actual cause of death, the malnourishment simply added it along.

So, again, benchod.

You are, QUITE LITERALLY, WRONGGGGGGG.

Words.

Have.

Meanings.

Who have I trusted to educate me? And when did this shift? Was I an idiot when I was conservative or did I just turn into an idiot after I left school and worked full-time? Who was educating me as a full-time employee? Please be specific so I can avoid the same mistakes in the future.

Huh? I'm not arguing that everyone poor makes great decisions and that the system always keeps them down...

I'm just saying not everyone experiencing poverty is there because of their own decisions and actions... There's a lot of different situations that cause and keep someone in poverty. Success is a mix of hard work, luck, and opportunity.

I think the obvious point is you can be malnourished and starved at the same time

It's likely you'll be malnourished if you're starved but the same isn't true in reverse

I think it's really hard for people who have never been around people unlike themselves to understand these realities. If someone grows up in suburbia and builds their own life in suburbia, they will have a hard time believing that some people don't have indoor plumbing or a car.

They remind me of my 6-year-old, who would respond "Why don't they just buy a car?"

We grew up poor. Did you?

Its easy to escape poverty. You literally have to try to stay trapped in poverty.

I'd say that's highly dependent on your upbringing and ability

Someone with a 83 IQ and shitty parents is probably going to have a difficult time escaping poverty
