Or a good border fence.

Lol oh NPR. What a fricking joke that is.

Oh we will just recycle these 20,000lb blades that only last 20 years.

“If you've got a 291-foot-long blade and you need to move it 1,000 miles, what's the best way to move it?”

With fossil fuels you morons.

As I understand, they are mostly fiberglass, and fiberglass is highly recyclable.

Why aren't they recycling?

I saw where they were grinding them up and burning them in the cement kilns

If that's happening, I wonder what the emissions impact is on the environment?

Stop asking questions

The serious answer is that these people don’t care about the land, nature, or other people.

They are grinding them and using the ground material IN cement. They also use the ground pellets to make any number of plastic products.

Unfortunately, these are still small scale operations.

Had the same thought. Someone should determine if they could be used in a coastal restoration project.

They are generally made out of fiberglass, with a balsa wood core. I doubt they would allow that to be put in the oceans.

Also, pure fiberglass will not burn, but it will melt. So the earlier post about burning them is questionable.

There are many pictures and videos of fiberglass boats burning. They don't burn cleanly though.

Yes.

If we gave them to cajuns in south Louisiana they would make pirogues out of them.

Catching on fire and burning are not the same thing. The insulation, paint and other materials are flammable and will burn. And the fiberglass will also catch on fire. But when the fire is over, the fiberglass is just melted, but still there. It is not gone.

Failed green energy initiatives mean that innocent people get to live with the consequences?

I think this is the US Rep (R) for Sweetwater, TX

who represents me?

Why won't their US Rep go to bat for them in this injustice? OR what about their state reps, mayor, local politicans?

wiki Sweetwater TX

Whose palm got greased to dump these green energy abominations in the backyard of flyover America?
