Phil Gramm and Sam Nunn would have been expelled from the Dem Party along with every blue dog they sacrificed.

Rome, Britain, early America, and Prussia all flirted with property-based suffrage.
None adopted it because the problem is misaligned incentives, not morality.
It creates a ruling class with asymmetric downside. Landowners externalize costs onto renters and laborer, but are themselves insulated from inflation, unemployment, and wage collapse.
They create policy but don’t personally absorb most policy failures. They ultimately vote for stability of their assets, not strength of the state.
That leads to underinvestment in manpower, underinvestment in industry, and over-protection of land rents.
Countries that do this lose wars.

None of this is true. In fact, what we've seen is the exact opposite.

When Southern Democrats were still conservative (Phil Gramm was a Southern Democrat), most Oklahomans were still voting Democrat (just like grandpappy).
I was born and raised in SE Oklahoma. It still amazes me that my county went Democrat in the Reagan landslide in 1984.

As did I.
I'm cautiously optimistic about it. It gets hard to read the tea leaves at times because, as you and I both know (living here), the loud minority is becoming insufferably louder and the screeching of Okie Progs is quite literally impossible to ignore. On socials and IRL, they're just vehemently merciless in screaming their beliefs and wallowing in the misery of living within a conservative state.
As a rule, I try to reserve actual hatred only for those who i feel truly deserve it. However, it's difficult not to hate these people when they seem completely bereft of both abstract thought and the ability to shut their pie holes.

Well election theft has created injustices and instability. No system is perfect but election day registration is theft of elections. With the ease of registering in weeks and months prior to election there is zero need election day other than theft.
There is so much info and advertisements prior to elections. You can’t escape it. So with constant 24/7 election info and yet people made a decision to not register. Then go on voting day to register. You and me and everyone knows thats 100% voting malpractice. It’s not who anyone wants voting to cancel out those who do understand ramifications of winners.
You have voters who have read up on all positions of candidates and understand how it impacts them. Then you have Dem vote harvesters solely trying to steal an election from uneducated same day reg/voters. Thats just wrong and you know it unless you are brainwashed.

Same day registration would do a lot to fix this.
There is zero reason to ever have same day voter registration.

Counter point for me. I knew several people at work who were Blue and are now Red. And same away from work. Seen so many change over time. And I have never met anyone who was Red and turned Blue. I do know a few Blue who are radical in views and will never change but even they are less vocal than they used to be.
My kids are all hard Red. So are their spouses. And their spouses parents. Really blessed to have that. Gatherings are awesome, no worries about appeasing any commies.

Here’s how it works:
Let’s say that Shukran is a registered voter in Minnesota. It’s Election Day & Shukran brings 8 friends w/ him to vote.
Shukran: “My 8 friends that live in our neighborhood don’t have IDs.”
Election Day Worker: “Sign this form to vouch for them.”
+8 votes

Yes, this is accurate based on Minnesota's official election rules. A registered voter in the precinct can vouch for up to eight others without ID during same-day registration by signing an oath confirming their address. Source: MN Secretary of State.

I can't think of a worse idea than increasing voting by decreasing barriers to vote.
We should have property requirements, IQ requirements, age requirements, civic requirements, etc at minimum before we even think about voting.

Thats the point. They WANT open borders and foreigners voting because it benefits them.

Texas, Cali and Colorado are biggest in-movers. Which is why I ran the voting registrations to see if they were fricking up our voting patterns.
In 2023, Oklahoma attracted 107,679 movers, resulting in a net gain of 23,370 residents. A combination of affordable living and a booming economy are the primary factors responsible for this growth. For instance, the median home sale price is over 42% below the national median, while the cost-of-living index is the second most affordable in the nation. This makes Oklahoma a practical choice for those looking to stretch their budget without sacrificing quality of life.
Major hubs like Oklahoma City, Tulsa and their respective suburbs are especially popular. Oklahoma City added over 21,000 residents from 2020 to 2023, while suburban areas like Yukon and Owasso also experienced rapid growth.
