The problem with these covid studies is there are hucksters on both side that twist the facts to promote their view.

So we will never get the true story.

I don’t buy it. Vaccinated people have been shown in countless amounts of studies to die at a lesser rate compared to unvaccinated.

You'll be shocked when you learn about confidence intervals.

quote:

152 adult patients admitted to Ohio State University hospital with acute respiratory failure from May 20, 2020, through November 2022, including 112 patients positive with COVID-19 and 40 patients that were deemed negative for COVID-19. Out of the COVID-19 vaccinated cohort, 23 were vaccinated for SARS-CoV-2, and 89 were not vaccinated. Of the non-vaccinated patients infected with COVID-19, 46 were admitted before and 43 after COVID-19 vaccines were approved.

From the limitations section of the article:
quote:

Further, the small sample size did not allow us to carefully evaluate the role of individual comorbidities [including immunosuppression, cancer, diabetes and pulmonary disease highly prevalent among the Vax patients

quote:

Additionally, the types and combinations of comorbidities varied between the Vax and NVax groups, which could contribute to the contrasting clinical outcomes.

quote:

The timeframe of enrollment may also be relevant and contributed to more high-risk patients among our vaccinated cohort.

quote:

Finally, our study population was limited to those patients hospitalized with severe infection, and studies have conclusively shown that vaccination significantly reduced the risk of hospitalization among the general population. Thus, our data may reflect the outcomes of a limited subset of patients with an altered host-response to vaccination.

But sure, you've blown the lid off of the entire scam of vaccination!

You read and linked the wrong study.

I read and linked the correct study. The study you linked has this to say,
quote:

Although our cohort size is small, our results suggest that vaccination status of hospital-admitted COVID-19 patients may not be instructive in determining mortality risk. This may reflect that within the general population, those individuals at highest risk for COVID-19 mortality/immune failure are likely to be vaccinated.

The study you linked admits that vaccination positively affects hospitalization. It says that vaccination MIGHT not help with mortality, but says that it’s cohort is very small AND it did not take into account that the extremely ill people are more likely to be vaccinated. Duh!

In short, the study you linked supports me, not you. Thanks, BTW.

Are there any “long term” studies.

If so, define “long term.”

You mentioned "long-term". Not me.

Never did I even allude to the term. If this was a "gotcha", it was a fail.
