Balderson up 1,766 votes.

Virtually impossible to overcome that margin. No way the absentee ballots are 80/20 in O'Conners favor.

Balderson did not do himself any favors when he said "We don't want anyone from Franklin County representing us". That was not a wise thing to do... to dis the most populous county in the state. Despite that, he still prevailed.

special elections have turnout rates like 50-60% less than a midterm election.

Turnout was way too low to deduce anything.

Dems were UNDEFEATED IN SPECIAL ELECTIONS in 2010 and look what happened in nov.
