Iran is now trying to blame Kuwait for their 4 IRGC henchmen being detained:

Iran Foreign Minister, Araghchi:
In clear attempt to sow discord, Kuwait has unlawfully attacked an Iranian boat and detained 4 of our citizens in the Persian Gulf. This illegal act took place near island used by the U.S. to attack Iran.
We demand immediate release of our nationals and reserve right to respond.

This is rich coming from a nation who took 66 Americans hostage in 1979.
I look forward to Iran's response.

Boubyian Island located very near Kuwait, Iraqi, Iran. I used to fish for king mackerel and grouper in that area in 1998. Biggest king was 83 pounds, fought like a log. Every now and then a crazy Arab would pass through the area shooting at seagulls and porpoise.

JUST IN: The United Arab Emirates denies reports of a visit by the Israeli Prime Minister or hosting an Israeli military delegation, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "The country emphasizes that its relations with Israel are open and public relations, established within the framework of the well-known and declared Abraham Accords, and are not based on secrecy or hidden arrangements. Please note that any claims about visits or undisclosed arrangements are unfounded unless the official authorized bodies in the United Arab Emirates have published them. The country also calls on the media to be accurate in their publications and to avoid spreading unverified information or using it to create a political impression."

In the midst of Operation Roaring Lion, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu VISITED the United Arab Emirates in secret and met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheik Mohamed bin Zayed. This visit led to a historic breakthrough in relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Yeah remember when they shot down a commercial plane and killed 290 people?
Posted on 5/13/26 at 5:21 pm to JackaReaux
Or when they captured the crew of one of our navy vessels.

That will probably go over the heads of a lot of people who post here.

Awww, poor IRGC officers are hungry!

The IRGC is struggling to feed and pay its own forces, as personnel openly complain on camera.
In this video, an officer complains about being served little more than potatoes and pickles while also saying salaries are not being paid.
This comes as the Islamic Republic faces mounting economic pressure from mismanagement, corruption, war-related costs, and years of massive spending on proxy militias, regional operations, and security networks across the Middle East.
Despite the regime’s public messaging, moments like this are important indicators of growing internal financial strain and worsening liquidity problems under the U.S.-led naval blockade and broader economic pressure campaign.

I think at the behest of their Chinese handlers, the IRGC and the Islamic Republic have calmed down while Trump is in China. So far I've not seen any news of ships being attacked or the UAE/Kuwait going tit for tat with the IRGC over anything as well.
