Translated from Persian
Tonight; "Qeshm Shipbuilding," "Bahman Qeshm Pier," "several administrative buildings at the pier," and also the "Bandar Abbas Airbase" have been struck;
When our relationship with the UAE can no longer be as it once was, and the UAE itself is no longer the UAE of old, and this small sheikhdom has some heavyweight enemies in the Arab world too, the best way is for it to serve as a "lesson" for the region!

Pretty good chance of that. So far they've hit zero of the last however many US ships they claimed to hit.

Our response should be based on the intent, not whether our destroyers were able to shoot down their cruise missiles. Reportedly they were, which is hardly surprising considering that we're talking about Aegis destroyers here.

Reports of a blast now in western Tehran.

This follows confirmed explosions on Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas, and Sirik in the Strait of Hormuz area over the last hour. Air defense activity was reported in western Tehran earlier. If strikes have now reached the capital, this is a significant expansion beyond the Strait. OR could be internal protest sabotage activities

Meanwhile, IRIB state television broadcast the following statement twice, reading from what appeared to be a prepared military intelligence text (23:26 Tehran time):

"A few minutes ago, some news reports indicated that an explosion was heard near Qeshm. Following this news, a military official announced that the US military had attacked a single Iranian tanker. The enemy units attacked and declared that they came under missile fire in the Strait of Hormuz area and were forced to flee after suffering damage."

The anchor repeated this nearly verbatim moments later. When state TV reads the same claim twice word for word, it is a scripted message from military intelligence, not a news report.

The tanker referenced is the M/T Hasna, disabled yesterday by 20mm cannon fire from an F/A-18 off the USS Abraham Lincoln. Iran is framing tonight as direct retaliation for blockade enforcement.

UNDER ATTACK
First footage is reportedly coming out of Iran showing the skies over Tehran.
Iranian media and online sources are circulating reports of air-defense activity over the capital, but the full picture is still unclear.

What we know right now:
The skies over Tehran appear active.
Iranian officials are issuing warnings.

The region is waiting to see whether this is another limited exchange, or the beginning of something much bigger.

Posting the full text for you.

A senior US official tells me that it was a US military strike on Iran’s Qeshm port and Bandar Abbas moments ago but added this is NOT a restarting of the war or end to the ceasefire.

The strike on one of Iran’s oil ports comes two days after Iran fired 15 ballistic and cruise missiles at UAE Fujairah Port, eliciting anger from Gulf countries after top Pentagon leaders said Tuesday that the Iranian strikes did not rise to the level of breaking the ceasefire, calling it low level attacks that didn’t rise to that level.

President Trump abruptly called off Project Freedom to open the Strait of Hormuz and guide ships through the strait after announcing the start of the military operation on Sunday.

A senior US official confirms to me the @wsj_com reporting from today that the Saudis and Kuwaitis abruptly halted permission for the US to use its bases and air space for Project Freedom, a decision that this official said has been reversed. Saudi officials reportedly were angry at the Pentagon downplaying the Iranian strikes on Monday.

IRAN ARMY SPOX FULL; The aggressive, terrorist, and pirate U.S. military violated the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker traveling from Iran’s coastal waters near Jask toward the Strait of Hormuz, as well as another vessel entering the Strait of Hormuz near the Emirati port of Fujairah. At the same time, with the cooperation of some regional countries, they carried out air attacks on civilian areas along the coasts of Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately responded by attacking U.S. military vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the port of Chabahar, reportedly inflicting significant damage on them.

They are twisting themselves into knots to make sure Epic Fury is "over" and that the ceasefire is still on

Makes me wonder if all the dismissive talk aside, the War Powers Act and 60 day clock is more of an impediment than they want to admit
