And… they have assistance from China.

China is basically testing out their war game theory play book here.

We painted ourselves into a corner when we said that Epic Fury (offensive operations) is over.

Now we either have to make a deal with less than desirable terms, or we have to continue the blockade and "Operation Freedom" until Iran takes the offensive.

All we have to do is arm the citizens.

Exclusive

Iran has hit far more U.S. military assets than reported, satellite images show

Imagery published by Iranian state-affiliated media and verified by The Post shows damage to at least 228 structures or pieces of equipment at U.S. military sites.

Today at 7:00 a.m. EDT

Summary

Iranian airstrikes have damaged or destroyed at least 228 structures or pieces of equipment at U.S. military sites across the Middle East since the war began, hitting hangars, barracks, fuel depots, aircraft and key radar, communications and air defense equipment, according to a Washington Post analysis of satellite imagery. The amount of destruction is far larger than what has been publicly acknowledged by the U.S. government or previously reported.

The threat of air attacks rendered some of the U.S. bases in the region too dangerous to staff at normal levels, and commanders moved most of the personnel from these sites out of the range of Iranian fire at the start of the war, officials have said.

With whatever they have.

General Caine acknowledged a few days ago that Iran fired upon US Navy ships in the strait, but that it did not "cross the threshold" to trigger retaliation.

As soon as they cross that threshold, we can retaliate without restarting the War Powers clock. Until then, the stalemate will be maintained.

There is no way to say it other than this is a colossal failure at this point. The SOH is locked tight, and we are sitting back after we created the issue because we know we can’t put troops in Iran. Good thing we can read about our big powerful bombs via X!

The Iranians could use some assisstance.

Hopefully the deal dies and we can go back to bombing the regime members. The only way this is successful is if they are removed from power.

About as much damage as a good sized midwestern tornado front that hits a couple of trailer parks and a few businesses. From a US military performance point of view, virtually no impact other than the couple of new radars that were hit. That's one reason the pre-war buildup took several weeks. They were getting most important stuff out of harm's way.

This is certainly not an opinion I ever expected on this board.

‘Twas nothing more than a Midwest tornado…

Fired what? A Marlin .22? a muzzle loading 12-pound Napoleon? Sling shot?

If you know the details, please elaborate? How much do you think this has impaired US ability to wage war against Iran? They threw a few hundred relatively small payloads at maybe a couple of dozen bases, most of which were evac'd in advance. The pictures I've seen show a few shots of damage to a quonset hut or a trailer, maybe some small buildings. I've seen some trucks, two jets and some radar equipment.

If US bases suffered $50 billion in damage as some have suggested, what do you think is the dollar amount of Iranian damage due to the 10's of thousands of bombs dropped by the US and Israel? $5 trillion or more? Damage is part of war. What they're describing is not a high damage scenario for US military capacity. It's just a "gotcha" from the news media saying it's more than reported because the pentagon didn't give them an itemized list of every filing cabinet and refrigerator that was lost.

do you use a $2-4m missile to protect a $100k (or less) building that is empty of troops....?

you deploy your missiles around more important targets (living targets)
