No sane person would agree to these conditions with the INSANE Iranian regime if the idea were to actually keep them from attaining nukes

Good non-paywall WSJ article on the blockade's effects on Iran:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told U.S. President Donald Trump that Israel cannot remain idle amid ongoing violations by Hezbollah in Lebanon, describing the ceasefire as “fragile,” a source familiar with the call told N12.
Netanyahu warned that a lack of response would embolden Hezbollah and risk both the truce and Israel-Lebanon talks, the source added. Trump acknowledged Israel’s security concerns but urged any response be proportionate to avoid escalation and safeguard negotiations related to Iran, according to the source.

One thought which ought to never escape DJT during negotiations.....this regime slaughtered 30k to 40k of unarmed, fellow citizens.

These are evil, ruthless people and must be vanquished if a modicum of normalcy is a desired outcome

NYT: The Trump administration believes that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei or senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are not authorized to agree to any concessions on the nuclear issue. Therefore, there is no reason to think that a change in Iran's position is expected - without a return to fighting.

I believe most knew this all along but we had to prove it to move forward.

The inevitability of more kinetic strikes was always likely and the continued movement of military assets shows that also.

The benefit of the ceasefire is a resupply and a fresh list of targets as all movements in Iran have been monitored the whole time.

Well, they’ve threatened to shut down the straight for 40 years, yet the media has spent the last eight weeks reporting the shock and surprise that apparently nobody had the foresight to expect it.

This is something my wife and I discussed the other night. Had to give diplomacy a chance for world dynamics, but now we are free and clear to just keep bombing them. Need to continue the blockade, and begin strategic bombing again.

Iran is on the edge of an internal collapse. We need to promote that collapse.

The Islamic regime is a brutal inhumane govt. No reasonable person doubts that the world will be a better place when they are no longer in power. But, IMO, when it comes to committing this nation to war, US presidents should always put national interest first and foremost in their considerations. We do have a national interest goal in this war.

Don't even try to pretend our economy is in anywhere near as much trouble as Iran's at present.

Just like when Jimmy Taylor ran the Greenbay sweep, even when the opponents knew it was coming, there was nothing they could do to stop it!

We haven't reached the limits of airpower, we've reached the limits of what we are willing to do with our airpower. Granted, with good reason, because the next step is eradicating population centers and critical civilian infrastructure.

To be more precise, I'd think we have reached the point of diminishing returns on airpower alone. Giving the uprising enough suicide drones Ukraine style, would do more to break the back of the IRGC than anything else.

We need to maintain the blockade, and start escorting tankers through the SoH. If Iran is dumb enough to do anything, resume bombing. As for how much it "costs" America to maintain a blockade. It isn't much.

It's good to see you getting back to form. After a few posts where you didn't mention drones I was starting to worry your account got hijacked.

Maybe all those C-17 were packed with drones over the last couple of weeks.
Or maybe they had a bunch of video game players on them to operate the drones.
Cuz' the controllers are the same.
