Stopped reading when you said their Navy never posed a strategic threat. What a moronic take.

Their navy lasted like what, 48 hours? It was a tactical threat that was obliterated immediately once the war started.

It’s not like they can lean on a fleet in being.

Their Navy deployed mines in the Strait of Hormuz which seems like a pretty strategic threat. The fact that we decimated their Navy doesn't change the fact that those vessel were a large part of Iran's strategy in the war.

If at any point in our lifetime we went to war with Iran (and it would have happened eventually) and we are in the position we are in now it's a super majority success. We could not have had it any better. It would have never been perfect never. But it's probably the best you realistically hope for. That's what I don't get. Some of yall act like Iran is just gonna mind it's own business on the other side the world and be good neighbors. They are scrapping the bottom of the barrel at this point. The strait is all they have. It's much more important to that region that us. This is why Trump wants those countries to take it. Take it now or never control it. Iran is losing everything right now.

They’d rather watch their whole country crumble before their eyes than make a deal. The ONLY protection they can offer to their citizens is to rely on the morality of their enemy. Do you think they’d have those same morals if the situation was reversed?

The Iranians have known for decades that their navy would be destroyed in any real war. That’s why they’ve developed such a robust suicide drone program.

What deal can they cut that doesn’t lead to a total strategic defeat for them?

I have seen no evidence of mines deployed in the strat. It is a concern and possible, but there has been no evidence of it. No ship has hit a mine and there have been ships passing through.

Yes. Which they’ve been able to export and make in massive numbers and a $20,000 drone can take down assets worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The mere threat of them is able to shut down an entire strait.

Meh they have been fairly effective, but they aren't the end all in capability.

In an additional strike, the IDF eliminated a number of battalion commanders responsible for dozens of ballistic missile launches against Israel.

Bro we destroyed Iran’s Air Force and navy and the threat of them alone has the strait shut down. Are they a wonder weapon in a conventional sense? No. But for an asymmetric weapon they’re damn near close.
