Is the war over yet? Trump said it would be

You’re confusing its violent and escalatory actions with irrationality. Iran’s behavior is rational in a strategic sense. It’s imposing massive costs, preserving a deterrent credibility, avoiding looking weak, and making the war painful for every US aligned country in the region.
They’ve also destroyed plenty of strategic military assets in the region with their strikes.

Are you and SirWinston having a competition to see who can make the most idiotic posts?
If so, he had a good head start but you’re starting to catch him.

Instead of just throwing drive by insults you could actually try discussing the topic at hand and addressing my idiotic posts.

can someone summarize gen pop's general emotions right now about the iran war? Trump do bad cause now gas prices are higher? Trump do bad cause we have a shipping strait conundrum?
Posted on 4/2/26 at 1:53 pm to Chad504boy
I dont know that 1 person can ever summarize general population.
I am content with the war so far.
The gas prices are temporary.
The military actions are impressive.
The mistakes are few.
The only popular war is a victorious one.
So it is difficult to strongly pick a side one way or another until we know that the US severely hurt the ballistic missile production, drone production, nuclear capability, and financial ability to influence other terrorist organizations.

Trump do bad cause he murdered 2,000+ innocent civilians for absolutely no reason other than the fact Israel wanted Iran destabilized and he did it after promising the American people for 12 years he wouldn’t do it. And the markets. And Hormuz. And national disgrace and embarrassment. I think that covers it.

That’s just a lot of war porn. You can’t just hit Kharg (and why their underground pipelines instead of surface infrastructure if you’re going to have ISR and interdiction anyway?)
Yes you can. Pipelines do not have stuff built on top of them so they can be serviced as needed. A precision strike on where the pipelines cross a road or a hundred yards from the coast will definitely shut down their ability to pump oil. I am not saying to destroy the entire pipeline from the holding tanks to Kharg. All we need to do is to take out a small section and they will not be able to pump oil. A small section can be easily repaired if our A10s and drones aren't killing the construction (repair) workers who attempt to repair the pipline.
Oil is the main revenue generator for the regime.
The reason they use Kharg is to allow them to have deep water ports for the vlcc tankers. They cannot get those ships close to the shore due to their draft.

You know what’s going to happen if we blow up those pipelines? The Iranians or their proxies are going to start taking out Saudia Arabia’s pipelines (much like the Ukranians have done to Russia) and that is going to directly affect us and send oil prices to $200 or more a barrel
You dont think they are trying to do so currently?
Whose economy can last longer? Saudi Arabia or Iran. Im betting on SA.

is this sarcasm?
Yea not sarcasm. I’m not really cool with my country going on bombing campaigns that kill thousands of civilians for absolutely no good reason. I’m not even talking about Iranian soldiers and officials. I’m talking about collateral damage civilians. 2,000+ in a month. Look it up. I don’t really think that is cool. Actually I think it’s evil and disgusting.

I guess you’re cool with 2,000+ civilian deaths in a month. That’s on your conscience not mine. Vaya con dios.
