We know that they did this. They assembled the Gang of 8 a few hours before the SOTU Address. Chuck Schumer took to the media telling folks "this is serious, the administration needs to make it's case to the American people" immediately afterwards. This is an example of what is really driving this.. money. Dubai like a lot of other countries in the region want foreign dollars flowing into their via trade and tourism. Is your position is that the missiles hitting Dubai and other civilian targets just went astray?
They could’ve focused their strikes on belligerent nations but they chose to (or accidentally) hit civilian targets in semi neutral nations, that’s a really odd choice in the opening phase of the exchange because it draws them into belligerent status.
