So one aircraft returned safely while the KC went down over Iraq, and it wasn't due to hostile or friendly fire?
ETA - disregard the rest of the post, just saw the previous one
How are two tankers flying close enough together to even cause a mishap like this? Just by their very nature they shouldn't be flying within the same area. Crazy

ADDITIONAL INFO: A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker crashed today in western Iraq's Anbar region during Operation Epic Fury.
Six crew members remain unaccounted for; active search-and-rescue operations continue in friendly airspace.
CONTEXT: The incident involved two tankers, one down, the second landed safely in Israel. No hostile or friendly fire involved. Western Iraq (Sunni-majority Anbar, near former U.S. hubs like Al Asad) remains secure for U.S. forces compared to southern provinces.
PERSPECTIVE: Today's tanker typically carries a standard crew of pilot, co-pilot, and boom operator these crews are expanded for special missions like Epic Fury likely including additional navigators or refuel technicians technicians.
Hopes remain high for recovery.

Do C-130/KC-135 have ejection seats or is it old school parachute jumping out the door?

Whether it was Mojtaba Khamenei or his IRGC handlers, the first statement from the current regime’s new leader confirms what the Iranian people have known all along: the Islamic Republic is incapable of change. Terror and repression are in its DNA. This latest statement promises only to continue the same insatiable bloodlust and chaos that has held our nation and the world hostage for decades.
By explicitly threatening our Arab neighbors with continued military strikes and doubling down on the regime’s proxy terror networks, the new Ayatollah sounds just like the old Ayatollah. We cannot appease or negotiate with a barbaric dictatorship that views the occupation of our nation and the destruction of its neighbors as a "divine" mandate.
It’s long past time to turn the page. Don’t throw this regime a lifeline. The only resolution to five decades of aggression is to end this regime once and for all.
Stand with the Iranian people in getting rid of this menace. Together, we can build a Middle East our children will be proud to inherit.

The IDF released bodycam footage of troops operating in southern Lebanon.
Forces from the 91st “Galilee” Division carried out a nighttime raid, destroying Hezbollah Radwan Force infrastructure with artillery and airstrikes.
The military says troops are now pushed deeper into southern Lebanon to establish a forward defense line protecting northern Israel.

“The unprecedented crimes and massacres against Iranians are the responsibility of the accursed Islamic Republic and Ali Khamenei.”
In a previously unseen video, Mohammad Rashid Mazaheri, the former Iranian goalkeeper, once again condemns the Islamic Republic for the crimes it has committed against Iranians and places responsibility on the now-dead Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
Mazaheri has been missing for weeks following a social media post in which he denounced the Islamic Republic and described Ali Khamenei as satanic.
His wife has repeatedly appealed to the media to speak out about his disappearance. According to reports, he was abducted by IRGC forces after the post was published. The post has since been deleted.
Please do not forget this hero!

Are we dropping small attack drones out of cargo planes over Iran to attack the checkpoints
It does not seem like these small attack drones are flying 100s of miles.

Leaked audio reveals drone strikes have terrified IRGC and Basij forces — and that they are hiding inside mosques and schools.
In the recording, an IRGC commander discusses coordination between checkpoint units and admits that regime forces are being stationed in schools and mosques.
The audio also shows that strikes on checkpoints have seriously damaged personnel morale.

A mysterious radio station is broadcasting encrypted messages in Persian.
Manoto TV reported that the station transmits coded Persian messages via shortwave radio, messages that, according to some intelligence experts, may be used to communicate with sources inside Iran.
The broadcasts reportedly began a few hours after the attacks on the Islamic Republic started, and the source of the transmission appears to be in Western Europe.
During the broadcast, a Persian-speaking voice can be heard saying, “Attention, attention,” followed by sequences of numbers.
Former U.S. intelligence officials noted that stations like this are sometimes used to relay instructions to field agents, designate meeting points, or issue operational guidance as a backup communication channel.
Reports say that in the following days, the transmissions were temporarily disrupted by beeps and electronic noise, possibly an attempt by the Iranian regime to jam the communication channel.

Meet Admiral Brad Cooper, the 4-star running Operation Epic Fury.
Cooper's been called a "warrior diplomat" for good reason.
He's had Shabbat dinner with Israel's military chief, been hosted by the UAE president, and played basketball with Syria's president.
Years of relationship-building across the Middle East.
The guy's legendary at the Naval Academy for climbing onto a dining table as a freshman and using ketchup bottles and utensils to demonstrate battlegroup tactics while being quizzed.
He spent years commanding naval forces in Bahrain, just 150 miles from Iran's coast. Front-row seat to the regime's capabilities and threats.
Cooper championed AI and drone warfare before it was cool, pairing uncrewed boats with artificial intelligence to expand the Navy's eyes in the Gulf.
Now he's using captured Iranian Shahed-136 designs against Iran itself.
Epic Fury so far: 5,500+ targets struck, 60+ Iranian ships sunk.
