I mean we found out about the first group in Kuwait almost immediately after it happened. They wouldn’t be able to keep any sort of number secret. Could there be a handful? Sure. Maybe some they are still trying to figure out body identification etc.

500 US military deaths would be impossible to hide in the US. In Russia, China or Iran, sure. Not the US.
If Iran had captured US military, then they would be posting videos all over of them.

This is the downside of the internet. People can't deal with the flood of information, can't separate the wheat from the chaff. Easy hunting grounds for the propagandists and AI engines are ideally suited for the task of spreading disinformation.

Agreed. The flight tracking sites alone would see the transport traffic to Germany and into Dover. People on the ground around Dover would report higher than normal traffic. Families would already be speaking out. And the point made elsewhere about Americans paraded on Iranian TV is 100% valid, after a week+ of getting bombed to hell and back it's absolutely certain we'd see POWs on videos.
Iraq had downed pilots on Iraqi TV in '91 within hours, and it was a lot of them.

We went after the "King". When you try to kill the "King" you'd better make sure that you kill him. In our case, the "King" is this Radical Islamic Regime in Iran that is currently trying to kill their fellow Muslims in neighboring nations.
