The U.S. Justice Department has filed two civil forfeiture complaints targeting more than $15.3 million allegedly used to fund an illicit Iranian oil distribution network.
According to the DOJ, the funds were controlled by Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani, who operated multiple companies selling and shipping Iranian oil in violation of U.S. sanctions.
Hossein Shamkhani is the son of Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Both were killed in U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran last week.

IRGC claims it targeted a US base in the UAE allegedly used to launch a strike on a girls’ school in Iran. AFP says it has not been able to independently verify the incident or casualty toll.
The IRGC says “Al-Dhafra air base, belonging to ‘American terrorists’ in the region, was targeted using drones and precision missiles.”

If I were Iran, I would declare total war on the United States. Arm everyone I could in the country and tell them to come and get me while I played the long game. Not only that I would attack every country I could reach and draw them into the conflict. Force them to burry themselves deep inside your country and fight for the rest of your life while never surrendering.
