Eh idk if it's quite that simple. If anything we've seen lots of indication over the past year that this regime is quite unpopular with the Iranian people. Sure, you'll have some of your hardliners volunteer but I don't think as many as you might think are going line up to sacrifice themselves.
Now they have this stuff in Baluch heating up, it seems like the regime is rapidly losing control. Don't forget about all the mass desertions the Iraqi' army had in both the gulf and iraq wars.

I can see the reasoning. If Saudi Arabia doesn't start fighting for themselves, and keep relying on others (US and mercenaries) to protect and fight for them, they'll be taken over. They keep it up and they'll either fraction up into oil possession states, or be carved up by those that will fight for the oil and prosperity it brings. The barbarians are at the gate.

KSA military is an absolute joke. They have all these weapons we have provided them and they don't know how to use them to wipe the Houthi's out, because they have no idea how to use the tools provided to them.
With the amount of air power that they have, the Houthi's shouldn't be able to do what they are doing. Without Western intelligence and direction they are just a bunch of camel jockeys with a lot of expensive toys and no idea what to do with them.

The Islamic Republic’s entire security apparatus is reportedly on its highest alert tonight.
Reports of “Code 100” now reportedly extend across the IRGC, regular army and Faraja police, indicating heightened readiness and dispersal measures across both military and internal-security forces.
That is significant. It suggests the Islamic Republic is preparing simultaneously for the possibility of another external attack and internal instability.
The timing comes amid renewed escalation across the region, including attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and an intensifying Houthi-Saudi confrontation.
This does not mean another U.S.-Israeli strike is imminent. But the Islamic Republic is reportedly preparing its forces as though another attack could come with little warning.

It can be hard to defeat an asymmetric militant group rooted in a large, mountainous and rural environment with the goal of watching you leave.
Even when you have the best weapons in the world.
