I agree with this but we would need to also consider the economy in Iran is crashing (without being able to sell their only commodity-oil). Those in control may not be suffering these effects but the population is. Eventually they (civilians) will start killing IRGC when they can, at a roadside checkpoint, in their homes, driving on the street. We are hearing this occasionally but it needs to be encouraged. Try again to get weapons in civilians hands.
Trump should never have used a ceasefire, he should have just continued bombing military targets and when those run out any place that we think IRGC or mullahs are hiding. Use our intel and Israels to find places where these people are.

Curtis LeMay was in the process of moving hundreds (possibly a thousand) bombers from Europe to the Pacific to fire bomb Japan. The 8th AIr Force had over 2000 heavy bombers in Europe.
Millions of Japanese civilians would have died. The bomb saved them.

In the run-up to Hiroshima, we were fire-bombing a different Japanese city every night with 300 bombers each carrying 7500 incendiary devices. We were destroying these cities with firestorms and killing as many as 30,000 people per night. This didn't make Supreme Leader flinch.

fun fact, more people were initially killed in the Tokyo firebombing (March 9th, 1945) then both Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings. 100k+ dead and over 1m homeless
the Toyoko firebombing created fire tornadoes and burned out of control for days

In 1983-84 family was stationed in Yokohama and hired an older Japanese lady as a maid. She told us stories about spending nights in the Tokyo area canals as protection from the fires. Pure terror that was.
