Maybe. But in my opinion you are underestimating how bad the media blowback is going to get in the US starting today and increasing in intensity every day until Trump capitulates.

Fair enough.

But the talking points are out that Trump worked a miracle with this adventure and saved us all. Trump and his proxies will cling to that message. It will be enforced. Trump can’t be shamed into doing anything.

Man you are coping hard. It's ok to admit this MOU or whatever people want to call it is shite. We paid $4 at the pump for a few months for nothing. The only good thing about this deal is that maybe now Trump can get back to fixing the economy like he was doing before he got caught up in this Iran shite.

It think we have our answer...

And if Trump had fired Fauci, and Birx, and the head of the CDC, etc., then what? Hire RFK in mid crisis, get blamed for every Covid death, impeached and removed from office while the streets of America were burning as our leftist media simultaneously fanned the flames of Covid fear and violence during the summer of love.
Was Trump elected to do a good job, or avoid blame?

Are you one of those who think a revolution will solve our problems?
Watching MAGA shift from "drain the swamp" to "protect the status quo" is amazing. Complete capitulation to the deep state.

Defeating a hypothetical will always be an "win". Brian Kelly had lots of critics, but hey.... Chad Morris would have done worse. Thus, BK was a great coach, amiright?

We have the strongest military on the earth, Trump says Iran has been decimated.

Why are we conceding anything?

You are actually defending how Trump handled COVID? That was some of the worst decision making by a president in US history.

An average Joe of the streets could have seen through that bullshite better.

Because he underestimated Iran. Iran is like one of those crazy dudes you fight on the street where, as soon as you throw the first punch, they’re ready to pull a gun and die right there on the spot. They’re ready to sacrifice everything and go all in before surrendering, effectively calling Trump‘s bluff.

His negotiating was useless. That’s what people with common sense said from the beginning, but he didn’t listen.

If you want to defeat a country like that, threatening to wipe them off the map only emboldens them. The only way to defeat them, is to actually wipe them off the map.

If getting oil prices down was the reason, he made piss poor choices. Could have ended the regime by simply dumping firearms in Iran for the people. That was all that was needed. Arm the millions of Iranians that wanted freedom and we would have had a free Iran a month ago.

That was the original plan. That plan was abandoned.

Ghaddafi the Islamic Republic, arm the protestors and give them suicide drones Ukraine style and the IRGC will evaporate or die in their holes.

Making deals with liars will only appease the weak kneed.

Give it a little while, and we will see if there is some unseen faction that will work out or if the wheels will fall off again.

Do you have a link to the talking points? What I've seen in this thread is some people waiting, patiently or impatiently, for the details and some declaring the deal a bust based on principle.

Shades of "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."

This was already supposedly digitally signed and agreed to by both sides. The delay in releasing it was to protect "Muslim and Arab sensibilities" according to JD. This admin can't get it's story straight.

Memorandum of understanding is not the final version to be signed & is not binding.

Thought that was common knowledge, but it appears I was mistaken. People will still panic about unofficial stuff

Straight up disaster. Anyone defending how Trump handled this war needs their noggins checked. I can't even imagine the problems that will now arise with Iran 10 years from now. He basically emboldened them even more and you gave Russia/China all the battlefield data they need to know what weapons you need to sell to Iran/build to fortify them up. Russia/China about to make some nice money off Iran for military build-ups. Thanks Trump!
