Official says US, Taliban reach Afghan truce agreement

The developments come as U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary Mark Esper met Friday in Munich with Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani. They spoke on the sidelines of an international security forum in Munich.

We don't need some phony agreement to get out of that shithole that will never hold up in the long run.
We could pull everyone and all of our resources out of Afghanistan and the country would look completely the same as it does today in a year from now or even 5 years from now.
There is no victory to be had in Afghanistan and the politicians in the Pentagon keep lying to us about that. That must stop now.
