re: Obamas divorcing?

People in status like this usually don't divorce, they quietly do their own thing.
You would think so, but look at Bill and Melinda Gates. Bill rivals Obama in terms of pure narcissism and image/legacy obsessed. At some point, even associating with Big Mike is probably mentally exhausting even if they do their own thing.

Obamas try to use their political capital in all ways of life.
Now that the last major remnant of the Obama administration is out of government, the Obamas have far less political stroke than they once did. It'll be even less in 4 years.

I doubt they would divorce, simply because it is politically better to stay together.
The bloom has fallen of of Obama's rose and he's become a political liability. His career in politics is over; he's no longer useful to Michelle.

The explanation that Tyrus gave last night on Gutfeld was interesting.

I like Tyrus, but, he is incorrect here. No way in hell will she run for office.
With their money, together or divorced, she/he can spend the rest of their lives doing anything they want.

They were on a break.

I don't pay her much attention because she's done so very little in comparison to Mrs. Clinton (IE never held a serious elected or appointed office) but when I do hear her speak, it focuses on amplifying differences and lacks forward vision.
Last night Notre Dame coach Freeman was asked about playing his alma mater OSU in the championship and his views on that, and his response was [paraphrased as] "this not about my past, it's about winning a big game and creating a future for our players".
That is a forward vision. Many top leaders such as presidents have it, it's almost required to win. Mrs. Obama does not have it.

I don’t think he/she will run for office either. She is having too much fun fighting the patriarchy one brunch & boat ride at a time.

Mike has no desire to be involved in spotlight politics any more. This has been known for a time. He hated his time at 1600, and couldn't wait to be free again. You don't just jump back onto the world's biggest stage after that.

But she wouldn’t be the first black man to be president.

Why do you guys keep assuming Michelle wants to be involved in Politics? She has done basically nothing the past 8 years of significance to show she wants to be active.

and even links him to Jennifer Aniston,
That's some Weekly World News shite right there...

Doubt this happens. No president has been divorced after they were in the White House and I can't imagine anyone wants to be the first, regardless of how miserable they are. The only one to get a divorce was Regan and that was 30 years before he was president. The Obamas likely go the Clinton route and just put on an act until one of them croaks.

There’s no way he’s linked to Jennifer Aniston. She’s a female.
Not sure if you know how ironic you are actually being here... Jen may be JUST Barry's type.

We know they haven’t given two shits about each other in 30 years, but they never divorced.
That's definitely a business partnership.

Yeah, I think Michelle hates DC and all the phony politicking bullshite... and he hates this country. She doesn't have political aspirations. I could definitely see her divorcing so she can just take her millions and disappear.

It’s not politics, it’s money.
