The national archives keeps classified documents in an unsecured warehouse?

Let me translate.

I know people that went to HVAC training in Hoffmann Estates for Sears. It is huge.

The article says an old furniture warehouse but I would bet that it is where they stored commercial HVAC units in the old days.

Classified Top Secret documents aren't secure anywhere here.

Top Secret classified nuclear secrets could be anywhere in the red area here.

quote:

The National Archives and Records Administration announced today a new model for the preservation and accessibility of Presidential records. This follows an Obama Foundation announcement of its commitment to fund the digitization of all of the unclassified Presidential records created during the administration of President Barack Obama. Instead of constructing a building to house the textual and artifact records, existing NARA facilities will house the original materials.

In this new model, NARA will administer neither a museum nor a traditional “Presidential Library,” and will instead focus its resources and personnel on preserving and making accessible the Presidential records of the 44th President of the United States in digital format to the greatest extent possible. The new model continues NARA’s long-standing role as the Nation’s steward of Presidential records. An added benefit is the enhanced ability to more quickly make released Presidential records available to researchers regardless of location.

Once the records are digitized, NARA will store and preserve the original paper records, as well as the artifacts, in an existing facility that meets NARA’s high standards for archival storage. A staff at that location will be responsible for caring for the records and artifacts. As part of NARA’s responsibility to provide access, staff will also support a loan program that provides records and artifacts for exhibition in the Obama Museum, as well as in other private museums.

Classified records will be stored in the Washington, DC area, where they can more efficiently and effectively be secured and reviewed for declassification. As classified records are declassified and released, NARA will make them available in digitized form.

Three weeks ago the Obama admin replied via the media that the documents are in a warehouse in Hoffmann Estates Il.

They said that secret service guards the warehouse.

They did not start digitalizing Obama's records. So no one has gone through and pulled the classified ones ----as many articles say HAVE OBAMA reclassify---- and bring to DC. If they have-or just started-it matters not-Obama stored classified documents and took his sweet time.

Why did Obama need to spend $36 million in court? It has been said every President argues over what they can have. Courts have gotten involved.

The POINT IS that there was no need to raid Trump with the FBI. Had they raided Obama they could have accused Obama of having classified documents.

Obama froze his for 12 years.

The military were ordered to move Obama's records.

No one went through them to get the classified ones out. In the Trump case. He didn't pack these boxes as Yahoo News lied and reported.

Go to the link and read the entire letter. The National Archives is the custodian of the documents in a joint project with the library. Was the National Archives the custodian of Trump's documents? NO. That's the difference.

So you are saying that NARA had these documents secured in a remote warehouse in Hoffman Estates to the standard anywhere near what the former President of the United States did in Mar Lago? Have you ever been in Hoffman Esates? Better yet do you ever use an ounce of logic before you post?

If anybody wants to try street view and see if there is secret service guarding. here is an approximate location

quote:

Currently, Obama's papers are stored in a private facility — a handsome and sprawling, bright white brick building on a commercial strip on West Golf Road in suburban Hoffman Estates. Officials initially thought the papers would be kept in Chicago. But after they spent $300,000 to ship Obama's documents to the Chicago region and about $223,000 a month to store and provide security for tens of millions of textual records, artifacts and audio visual materials

Well... one set of documents was secured in a presidential office with around the clock secret service protection and FBI review. The others were in an unsecured furniture warehouse.

But its not like any of that is going to register with the left, because it stopped being about justice a long time ago.

Yes because the documents are in the possession and control of the National Archives.

They were controlling tf out of those classified documents in an unsecured and abandoned furniture store 700 miles away!

But I digress... So what are we to do with the narrative that a president isnt allowed to take classified docs from the WH? Those docs are "stolen". You have an excuse for that too?
