The “press” is so the epitome of the old saying “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too.”
They have willfully and aggressively abandoned the tenents of their profession while insisting to be treated as though they have not.

He's not begging or even asking. He's making another outrageously condescending anti-Trump remark. Hoping probably for some violent event involving a newspaper employee (I quit saying journalist) so he can sanctimoniously blame it on Trump. I grew up reading the paper, still do, but I won't read any of the obvious "fake news" stories and I hate calling them that but tis absolutely a hard core fact! I don't see people ever believing anything they read anymore and the industry has, in their gross ignorance, done it to themselves.
I wonder if just perhaps, the papers in a rush to sell print news, figured the big push should be made to do outrageous stories. And an endless supply (sometimes 4 or 5 per page) of them, all insanely critical of the new chief Exec, to take advantage of the initial outrage that Hillary lost. Her supporters were in near revolt and hungry for affirmation. And has the press given it to them. Competing for the most zany story of the day award. So the haters got fresh ammo each day. The president's security has done an incredible job protecting him from the press driven onslaught. A press that has endangered his life and even the lives of America's Republican congressmen with their nut case activities. That is the real crime here. Yes Trump leaves himself open far more than necessary with his hoof in mouth statements but the press is complicit in spreading daily propaganda to some way, some how get rid of him and satisfy a certain segment of the USA.

Uh, if Trump ever starts actually using federal means to penalize them, silence them, or invoke violence on them (you know like Obama did with the IRS?) give me a call.
Until then he has freedom of speech just like the press does. They simply don't like someone fighting back and calling them out for their lies. The press is not above being held accountable.

I think we would have an easier time trying to identify instances where the press has been entirely truthful. They are few and far between. Invariably the press of today borders on hysteria and (at best) half truths mixed with insinuation and innuendo. Congratulations.
