Which brings us to liberals on this board when I asked WAAAAAY back in 2016 for them to go on record if it was OK to spy on an opposing political candidate and ALL of their chicken shite asses avoided answering like the plague

And there it is folks. We now have a Democrat here on record defending surveillance on the opposing party's Presidential candidate. WOW!

Agreed.
Obstruction of Injustice should be applauded.

Obstruction of Injustice should be applauded.
Effectively, we had a Special Counsel that ONLY had the purpose of trying to create an obstruction trap. We didn't even have an investigation AT ALL of the thing the SC was started for in the first place because everyone fricking involved already knew that shite was false

Okay, lets put this into perspective.
IIRC the initial Carter Page FISA warrant was obtained on July 31, 2016. So any spying conducted after July 31st the FBI will claim that is was done legally.
There is a problem though; the Carter Page FISA warrant may have been obtained illegally by lying to the FISC court (omitting exculpatory evidence and not following the Woods procedure). Acquiring the FISA warrant would have been the right thing to do to spy legally on team Trump but FBI illegally acquired the FISA warrant.
But the question still remains even if they were spying legally, why did the FBI not notify the Trump campaign that he Russians were trying to infiltrate the Trump campaign? But I think we all know the answer. The FBI was not really interested in the Russians they were just interested in framing Trump.
With that said, all spying conducted after July 31st was thought by the FBI to be legal. The issue will be that the FISA warrant was obtained illegally.
The FBI was hoping the Carter Page FSIA warrant could cover their illegal spying activities retroactively. I don't believe that will work. Dey fricked.

This won't get nearly the amount of attention/coverage it deserves.

Exactly.
And, I suspect THAT is why Mueller never pushed to force Trump to testify (not just written questions).
Trump would certainly have opposed it. Mueller would then have had to go into court and swear that he needed to interview Trump, etc. THAT would expose Meuller to some serious criminal consequences and disbarment.
He wasn't willing to risk THAT

They are fricked. This is them admitting to spying on the Trump campaign. We have been right for 2 years

This is why this shite is being dribbled out.
The previously unreported episode comes amid growing scrutiny over the FBI's actions toward President Trump's 2016 campaign. Trump has repeatedly accused the FBI of spying on his campaign, an allegation Attorney General William Barr has said he plans to look into.
The report also comes as the Justice Department's inspector general is expected to wrap up its probe into the FBI's actions during the campaign sometime this summer. LINK

Oh, but the FBI used spies and entrapment methods with good intentions because of the RUSSIANS!
Just what I was thinking, its becoming very clear the new mantra is, we were very frightened of russian govt interference, we had to ensure the republic was safe, we had to check it out and pursue all avenues in doing so.
It's going to be a hard sell because if the FBI truly had good intentions they would have worked with both campaigns to track the Russians. We are supposed to be on the same team from the FBI perspective, team USA. Not team Hillary or Trump. But the FBI was clearly on team Hillary. They were not worried about Russians. They were worried about framing team Trump.
