NY Times Editor Admits Paper Is Just A Low-End, Partisan Rag

The NY Times editor accidentally admitted that he re-built his paper around the anti-Trump Russia collusion hoax and that the primary purpose for the Times has been to spread the Russian lies to destroy Trump.

Now, to any sentient conservative, that admission would not really be news, exactly. After all, the proof is in the pudding and just any casual reading of the Times makes it clear that it has a single purpose: to destroy Trump.

But this is a pretty shocking thing to admit, despite that its truth is readily apparent.

The Times is supposed to be the pinnacle of news. At least, that is what the left keeps braying when people scoff at the paper.

But now editor Dean Baquet is finally admitting that the whole paper is just a low-end, partisan rag and not the upstanding “paper of record” it is assumed to be.

According to Breitbart News’ John Nolte, Salon.com got hold of a recording of a meeting in which Baquet made his admission. This recording was not supposed to be made public.

As Nolte wrote: "[Baquet] also admitted the Times’ staff is loaded with left-wingers “who cheer us when we take on Donald Trump, but they jeer at us when we take on Joe Biden.”

Slate somehow got a hold of a recording of a company-wide meeting Baquet held with his left-wing staffers, and it is an illuminating look, not only at the fall of the Times’ own credibility, but how the news media in general has been infested with entitled, left-wing cry-bullies who only want to see the media used — not to inform the public — but to propagandize left-wing causes.

Here are some excerpts of that recording of Baquet’s admissions to his crew: "It got trickier after [inaudible] … went from being a story about whether the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia and obstruction of justice to being a more head-on story about the president’s character. We built our newsroom to cover one story, and we did it truly well."

Baquet went on to admit that now that the Russia hoax is essentially over, they are empty of purpose: "Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story. I’d love your help with that. As Audra Burch said when I talked to her this weekend, this one is a story about what it means to be an American in 2019. It is a story that requires deep investigation into people who peddle hatred[.]"

And this: "The day Bob Mueller walked off that witness stand, two things happened. Our readers who want Donald Trump to go away suddenly thought, “Holy shite, Bob Mueller is not going to do it.” And Donald Trump got a little emboldened politically, I think. Because, you know, for obvious reasons. And I think that the story changed. A lot of the stuff we’re talking about started to emerge like six or seven weeks ago. We’re a little tiny bit flat-footed. I mean, that’s what happens when a story looks a certain way for two years. Right?

Some time in the last year, I rightly called the WaPo a tabloid rag. The reaction from a leftist here was shock and outrage, that I would refer to the paper that exposed Nixon in that way. But here we have the Old Grey Lady that carried “all the news that’s fit to print”, reduced to smut pages against a sitting President.

I stopped paying attention to the WaPo, but for the first couple of years of the Trump admin, I think they were worse than the NYT.

People moan about the demise of print “journalism”. It’s killing itself.

Oh absolutely

It’s completely self inflicted.

For me, I just can’t get over how badly written the Times is.

We're a LITTLE BIT FLAT FOOTED! Yeah about like anyone else who has peddling the same lie for close to three years even though it was preposterous to begin with. About like a husband who has been working late for years and caught by his wife with his second family. They knew it was BS, hell even the FBI knew there was no there there. But took the chance to sell it in the hopes Mueller would ignore the guilt/innocence aspect and give them a way to get Trump on a process of related charge. Amazing!

Personally, I want to hear the audio.

If it exists and is true, it needs to be leaked to- well, everywhere.

Let the MSM Propaganda Machine have it so all the actual, reputable ( ) outlets can use it against NYT in a deflecting attempt to make themselves look more credible. The audio release would be like a grenade thrown onto a football field of leftists: do they stand pat and deal with the aftermath? Or do they pick it up and throw it, playing hot potato until it pops?

*Don't be triggered. It's merely an analogy, as I do not condone throwing grenades at leftists.

Looks like the President is getting out in front of this one, thankfully.

Shocking!

Maybe this explains why most of us were not alive the last time the NYT endorsed a non-democrat!

They've a weird hatred for trump.

It's the audacity of a non establishment person running for potus and having a chance of winning. That's why they hated him.

Gop and Democrats and msm have been aiming for him since he became the GOP candidate.

I'm more pissed off about the GOP....than I am about the Democrats and msm. Some GOP assholes kissed his arse, pretended to be on his side...just so they could get positions in his cabinet and other important positions and try to sabotage him from the inside. I can't even blame trump for hiring some of those people. Because any of us in his position, would've fell into that trap.
