This is very true.
We've met some great friends over the years who attend church regularly. Some are even Catholic. I've often wanted to bring up the sacrament thing and see how they reconcile it with themselves. Just out of curiosity.

In all fairness, I had lots of normal friends, and as religious, and played sports. I also liked D&D and still like Doritos. I agree with the rest of your point. My faith provides me with a purpose greater than myself. I can’t imagine having a life not grounded in that. I’m more liberal than a lot of this board which I find comes out of my Christian faith. I have a lot of good friends who are much more conservative though. We may disagree on policy but we have something much deeper that binds us and allows us to come together in communion before a holy and loving god.

I disagree. One sure fire way you can know for sure if he’s full of shite is to actually see it yourself and that’s not something we’re going to do.
The only other way you can confirm if he’s full of shite is the context it’s brought up in, his tone and demeanor and judge for yourself whether he’s talking in good faith or not for the discussion.
