You implied that the people you disagree with are ALWAYS dealing in fake news.

There are a good many liberals here. Some of them, like losh, try to camoflouge their left-wing nature by falsely portraying themselves as libertarian.
Well libertarianism is essentially classical liberalism so that's not surprising.

That's bullshite. Rand Paul has strong libertarian leanings. I dare you to tell me he's a liberal. classical or otherwise.

No I didn't

I implied that the people purveying the most distorted orientations to truth (and, often, outright falsehoods) are libtards. It has nothing to do with my agreeing with them personally.

Trump didn't run against Obama so that really doesn't mean much. It's not like Hillary has ever been close to being as popular as him.

Ok, same population that voted for Trump and Hillary in the primaries.

The point remains

What was Obama's approval ratings on his last day in office?

What are Trump's current ones?

That is an idiotic argument given the nature of the media.

You know that, but it does not matter.

NAme any aspect of anything obama touched that does not now need a massive revision, and he has only been out of office <3 months.

They did stop polling after the primaries, but still maintained their "opinions of candidates" polling all the way through.

In 2017!conceptualization probably not. But his views are very consistent with classical liberalism (liberty, free markets). Of course, liberals and conservatives today often espouse principles that are quite different than they were traditionally.

But I an confident that Rand Paul would agree that he has many views that were considered classically liberal.

You're right here. Rand is no fan of Israel.

Yeah. They did/do approval/favorability ratings, and didn't poll the race itself.

Favorability is important, but it is a small to moderate correlate to the actual race itself. In fact, reseach suggests competency ratings are a better proxy for the race.

I keep hearing that Generation Z is going to be one of the most conservative generations in America's history.

Grow up quickly, boys & girls. We need you.

I'm seeing it ... I believe that's going to prove to be the case, I honestly do. It's a little reminiscent of what happened in the 70s. Carter caused a seismic shift from the left to the right. I believe we'll see something similar post Obama ... even from the Hispanic community. I really do.

I believe it is more the case that the left is pushing further left, almost as far as it will go . . . the moderates have little recourse but to become more conservative.

Oh, and good luck finding very many people who still admit to having supported him. It was easier to find someone who admitted they liked disco in 1982, than it is to find a proud Obama supporter in 2017

Um.... you know this isn't true right?

Obama left office with support levels comparable to Reagan.
