The thing is we could probably fund most of that if we didn't have illegals here or legal immigrants on social programs.

My daughter is disabled and my son is bipolar. It infuriates me that they get less help than illegals or legal.

My daughter has a severe brain injury. she also worked very hard to graduate with honors with a statistics degree and then a master's degree in data analytics. She originally got a job with the GSA, but they refused to give her accomodations (an hour at lunch and literally taking bad notes after she told them about hearing issues. She settled a lawsuit against them). She was hired under a program for disabled college students. Now, her resume sucks, and she has had a terrible time finding a job.

I'm a little jaded by the government. They treated a disabled employee horribly, and they give away tons to people illegally in our country.

I should also mention public school failed my daughter. We put her in private. We paid for speech therapy, occupational therapy, dyslexic tutoring for her.

I prefer keeping our money so that we can take of our disabled daughter. The government just kind of sucks at doing things

I agree, for those with disabilities. But I think the amount of people on government programs with disabilities is far too high. There's a difference in having a true mental disability or a true physical disability (such as losing a leg or having a crippling illness). I think it's ridiculous though when someone can get full disability because they have arthritis in a few fingers. Or when they have anxiety. And yes I've seen both happen. Many of these people could still do office work or work at home jobs.

The difference is I don't think our military needs to save the world. We don't need to be involved in conflicts that don't directly impact us. We shouldn't have been in Iran. And we absolutely shouldn't be involved in the Ukraine-Russia war. Would you agree to that?

But we want there to be true equality, not the pick and choose equality that women want. Women want equal wages and equal rights, that's fine. But are they ready to accept equal responsibility? Some of this is legal and some is cultural.

If women want true equality, they need to stop expecting men to pay for dates, it needs to be 50/50. Women need to stop expecting men to always be the ones who approach a woman. Women need to give up some of their privilege, including avoiding registering for the draft and getting out of legal situations (like a traffic stop) just with their looks. Are women ready to give up their privileges to be truly equal?

But let me remind you that, in that situation where you are defending your life and property, it will be your "fellow" Democrats who are your enemy. Especially if the individual is a minority. I agree. While I think states should have the ultimate say whether or not marijuana is legal in their state, nationwide marijuana should be decriminalized, both at the federal and state level. So even in states where it isn't legal, you would simply face a fine and no jail time.

Now I get some Baby Boomer Conservatives will disagree with you and me on this one. This comes down to age. Most Conservatives 60+ are typically against anything making marijuana legal or decriminalized. Most Conservatives under 60 are either for nationwide legalization or at least nationwide decriminalization.

I disagree with this a little. We are a Judeo-Christian nation with Judeo-Christian beliefs. Islam is at perpetual war with Christianity and will not be satisfied until all Christians are wiped out. Why your side can't see this I will never understand.

With that said, I think God should be back in schools. And I'm okay with a short prayer to start the day. It could even be something innocent like "we pray for a good day of school and for our country to be prosperous and stay safe". It doesn't even have to be scripture.

If a non-religious or Muslim kid does not want to participate, they are free to opt out.

If a high school football team wants to pray, they should be allowed to. If a non-religious or Muslim kid does not want to join the team and participate, they once again can opt-out.

I would agree with not having teachers interpret scripture. At the high school level, I would allow there to be theology classes that can be taken as an elective. Again, not required, but available.

But I'm tired of God being removed from public society because "it's oppression and we shouldn't be exposed to it" and yet Muslims can do things that absolute impose their religion onto non-religious or Christians.

Freedom of religious is not equal to freedom from religion. Our Constitution only says there can not be an official church, like the church of England. But the Constitution never said religion had to be banned from schools or public life.
