Nothing highlights how far the Media has fallen more than the Milley story

Dude might have committed actual treason, and even 10 years ago may have been actually imprisoned for it...
And the media this morning is falling all over themselves to justify it and call him a hero. It is amazing.

This is why the press was demonized in 1930s Germany - because they had been complicit in the humiliation and degradation of their country. Same thing has been happening for decades here now.

On NBC Nightly News, Andrea Mitchell essentially made the argument that Milley was right to commit treason and promise aid to China. Despite the fact Milley's delusions had no merit, she argued it really looked like Trump was going to start a war with China.

CBS Evening News praises Gen. Milley's treachery with his alleged promise to aid China in combat if the U.S. would strike under Trump. They also celebrated him going around the chain of command and subverting the president's authority with the nuke codes citing his delusions.

This entire story just highlights how lost our Elites truly are. The worst part is nearly 100% of leftists will ecstatically agree with them as they universally always enthusiastically agree with them.

I don't think anyone would dispute the fact that the main stream media (to include social media) s no longer an unbiased source of facts and journalism anymore.
Can the media be fixed? if so how?
Of not, then what can/should be done given that they have a monopoly on (Information Sharing, and Content) and they obviously collude with each other and one political party on what the American people hear and see.
For the sake of argument I would include ALL media outlets because I don't think there are enough true independent outlets to matter and those that may be trying to do the right thing are buried under the mountains of propaganda and misinformation.

They are owned by corporate and banking interests who have sold their souls to numbers they believe are best driven by China.
We have a military leader basically threatening coup with Chinese permission. We have Chinese ships being sighted off Alaskan shores. We are being abused economically by the Chinese and they are buying up business, property and resources IN OUR COUNTRY without a peep from "journalists".
The media are corporate propaganda and nothing besides...and the corporate world is China's bitch.

We're in a full blown 'civil war', cold version of 'he-said/she-said' as of now. The MSM has chosen between the Two distinctly polar "First Premise" (Thomas Sowell descriptor) Ideological bases, which determine the individual's subjective 'truth'. As the Authoritarian screws tighten re the polar, policy consequences, so will the relative resistance from whichever side is being dictated to and 'oppressed'/'enslaved'. Sowell realized that dialogue was not merely useless, but inflammatory, in this scenario.
It has always been "the barrel of a gun" for this manner of societal power struggle; the Left knows this, and that is why they must get control of Income, Health and System participation sources...because they know that trying to take the guns would be a serious strategy failure...as things would go rouge and to the street in short order. A battle which they would lose, given the extreme vulnerability of their Urban base populous.
Transnational Progressive Ideology is a VERY POWERFUL intellectual force. IMO, it can not be overcome by rational argument, given the current visionary dynamic. It'll have to fail of it's own accord. Herding cats, is not the way to go for societal prosperity.

You would THINK the free market could correct it but I honestly don't think that's the case anymore.

I think there are a few good eggs in there that might want to do honest reporting, but they will lose their job if they do. The only hope is outlets like Substack, but only someone like Greenwald gets a bit of TV airtime, and that is on Fox.
