Sure, sure. Because I respond to all your posts.
Weirdo.

I just don’t see this happening. Or, if it does, it will leave customers and clients so frustrated, they won’t use anything that requires them to interact with AI.
AI will become enshitified like everything else (including social media and the internet at large).

Elites aren’t going to want to share the earth with peasants they no longer need for labor. Once the autobots are mass produced and mass surveillance and control is given to their AI, the culling/extermination can begin.
No, but seriously. There won’t be any UBI or programs for the poor. They would rather let us all starve and kill each other for whatever resources are left before that happens.

Part of the allure of being elite is the feeling of superiority. They need us to fuel their egos.

It's already happening
Although some companies are having remorse and saying they acted too quickly

They certainly don't need all of us to feel elite

This week has seen seismic jumps in ai - this Google video ai is mind blowing - history will be rewritten and there will be video “proof” made by whoever is in charge - not to mention all the Trump fakes that the boomers will believe
And that was just one major breakthrough
This Instagram post tells it all

We are cooked.

Yeah I saw a lot of the google I/O stuff from earlier this week
The level of investment in new AI data centers is getting pretty interesting
And AI being intertwined with the military is also somewhat unsettling to say the least. This tech in the hands of bad actors could be a nightmare. And that's not even considering the possibility of AI trying to make us extinct without bad actors at the wheel.

I don't know that there's really a way one can plan for such a thing. Especially when nobody really knows what the displacement looks like or what new jobs are going to come out of the displacement? How is the government going to be any better at this foresight than anybody else? There's just as good a chance the government's plan would make matters worse

I don't think not having a plan at all is a good idea.
The speed and scale that this could potentially occur is unprecedented.
Having no contingency plan is lazy and stupid

ai will replace menial tasks for now... it requires someone to check the work.
It's a huge benefit for small companies. Will be interesting...

It's already far advanced beyond that
The public doesn't have access to the same tools that the companies building this stuff has
And we are moving ahead at warp speed

I have access to some amazing shite that has changed my life. I can have conversations to get to what I need instead of having to download data, parse thru it, etc.... hey, can you tell me what trends you notice at this retailer this year compared to previous years? How does the margin look? Any anomalies we should dig into?

Sure...and the point is that's the tip of the iceberg in a field that is rapidly improving and receiving massive capital investment.

I've been to 4 conferences this year already, and have 2 more in the plans, focused on AI. I am shopping vendors and learning. It's wild. We can't possibly bring on this many specialized vendors, but we also can't ignore it. I have signed on 3 new vendors just this year with specialized software.

It's likely we won't recognize the world in as few as 3 years. Will be interesting to monitor and arguably the most important topic of our time

I wouldn't expect you to have the capacity to understand the consequences of this technology...
