That debate probably had significant effects on casual voters who haven’t gotten a good look at Biden in a while.

I don't know. Even NPR is dunking on Biden this morning. They did not go so far as discussing a replacement strategy, but it's coming.
It was a bad night for the Dems.

A lot of people’s opinions changed. The Democrat press is overflowing this morning with calls for Biden to step down. The debate changed that.
A mistake many of us made is to assume the Democrat voters were aware of how feeble Biden had become. But I guess they were not. I read left wing press daily, and I can tell you that this morning many of them are shocked at Biden’s performance. I didn’t think it was bad relative to what I’ve been seeing the last year or so - shuffling gait, forgetting what he was saying, etc. But CNN, et al, kept this hidden from the viewers who never leave the left wing echo chamber.

I don't know if trump gets any mew voters but what I see happening is if Biden makes it to November there won't be enough Democrat voters with enough care to pull off the ballot harvesting tactics they used last round. Fraud or not (probably lots of fraud) it took a lot of energized democrat boots on the ground to pull it off.

Is anyone really on the fence with these two?

Respectfully, I disagree. I cannot and will not vote for Biden based on this debate.
100% this. I will go third party now or leave it blank. I cannot vote for Biden after this. This was disastrous for his campaign.

The real impact will be voter apathy. Dems will stay home and sit this one out

Gotcha! They can still vote from home...

This. Those casual voters watched the debate on CNN then left it on there for the postgame and heard them all basically say this guy has to go. Thinking Biden didn't lose votes after that catastrophe is crazy

Let's not forget, this man was away for the last what 9 days to prepare for this night as well. 9 days and still had a rough night. Everyone here also said he had the questions in advance. He changed subjects mid-answer at times. There is no way he can continue like this.

Disagree. Plus, this is now officially more than the election. The question, which has been whispered louder and louder for the past year, is
"Is the person in the POTUS chair mentally capable of leading the free world?"
There are people who don't like the USA who watched this last night and ready to take advantage of this. More than the election now, it is a national security question.

Most yes.
I am a conservative who isn’t a Trump fan and have thought that Biden is not what I want in regard to governance but thought a lot of the bullshite was overblown.
But that thing last night was shocking. Many will change their mind, or at the very least not vote
If Trump woulda lined out what he did for minorities, trade, inflation, and NATO defense with any detailed clarity and available data he would’ve won the presidency going away last night.
Biden was just that awful.

CNN said 80% of the people they surveyed said they will still vote Biden.

I don't understand this because he's been showing obvious signs of dementia for at least two years. Did you think all the videos of him were deep fakes?

It seems that you’re wildly incorrect.
Posted on 6/28/24 at 7:40 am to BayouBandit24
Again, this is you guys being incapable of understanding that not everyone in the country is like you.
Of course it will influence people.
It may only influence them to stay home on election day instead of going to the polls, but it will move the needle.

You are mostly right, nobody's opinion will change. Some will refuse to vote 500 times though.

He is 81 years old and rattled with dementia. He has an excuse so no you are the dummy

This is who he has been since almost the beginning of his campaign in 2020. This is only a degree of difference. You’re only saying this now in hopes that your side can switch and you can still win.
You’re a person of no integrity or morals. You’re a shitstain on the tapestry of our country.
