Do you? Amazon was $5.97 a share in September 2001 and 52 weeks later it was $15.93. What kind of idiot would have bought Amazon at it's 52-week high of $15.93?
Was Amazon as mature a company in as mature an industry in 2001 as Nike is currently?

Put another way, one who would understand the vast difference between Nike 2018 and Amazon 2001.

I buy low and sell high. You can look at it anyway you want, but at the end of the day, that's how you make money on market. Sorry, I just figured out you've been trolling this entire thread

so basically you're saying that if Nike continues to trend up, i'm an idiot even though im making money? hmmmm.. great advice

Would you really go out and buy it now? You should have bought 3 weeks ago like I did. Your broker sucks if he's telling you to buy now.

Still playing the short game eh? Good luck with that.
Because it won't

But it's less good than buying in when everyone else was selling.
If you like the stock long term and are intending to buy it, buying at the dip was definitely better than buying today.

Nike could also be viewed as a solid buy from a dividend investment POV?

So how much Amazon stock did you buy in 2001?
