Nothing really matters until Nike reports their revenue and earnings per share next quarter.

People that have never looked at the stock market in their life are trying to make inferences based on one week’s worth of stock movement.

As opposed to the people they are making fun of, who used one day's worth of movement to declare some kind of strange victory

January 2, $67.21
April 5, $69.59
June 15, $75.84
June 29, $79.68
Aug 8, $80.50
Sept. 4, $79.83 ( I bought here)
Sept 13, $83.47
1:12 Today - $83.18

Nike had been trending upward since the start of the year, right along with a ton of other stocks. I don't believe the football player and their new commercials had as much to do with it as being a part of a bull market.

That’s wishful thinking

Analysts upgraded nike’s valuation after the ad.

Yep......... I was hoping for more surge. My point was that it had been steadily inching up all along and even with the "Kap Bump" that all the libs are raging about, it's really just continued to move at about the same rate as the months prior to the "Bump"

Why would anyone celebrate a company that pushes a false narrative that its country of origin is evil and oppressive?

Why? It’s a good investment so your money doesn’t get eaten alive by inflation in your piggy bank.

The ironic thing is that Nike is in the S&P 500 which most 401ks and IRAs have exposure to so if you have a 401k, you’re probably invested in Nike.

Including their leader who claimed Nike was 'getting killed' in the market due to 'anger' & ' boycotts'

I'm not. I'm a conservative. I just don't melt about Nike or Kap, which I guess makes me a lib in your eyes.

Never grab for a falling knife.

If you buy in time on the way up you are a genius. If you buy after it's way up you are a dumbass. That's not political, that's sound advice. I missed out on the NKE surge, I'm ok with that. They had enough exposed about sweat-shop practices the libs will hate them as soon as Kapernick shaves his afro and runs for office. (bookmark this post - it will happen)

Nike customers are mostly young, urban, and global. Demographics that do not favor Trump and his zealots.
