NFL Ratings for last night's game are DOWN 16.1% over last year's opening game....

Yahoo Sports
The article tries to make excuses but it's hard to excuse these low ratings when you would think that viewers have been craving sports for a long time. It's just that many of us no longer want to financially support (through tickets sales, merchandise sales, or viewership) these IGNORANT elitist f*cking morons who have no f*cking clue how STUPID they sound by supporting a cause premised completely on LIES.
SIAP!

Only stupid people thought this wouldn't happen.

I’m sick and of bunch of kids trying to tell us elders what we should believe
As if they know more about life than people that are older and know more about the real world than pampered kids

The initial wave of NFL ratings for Thursday night’s season kickoff have arrived, and the preliminary numbers are sharply down for the NFL.
According to Deadline, the Kansas City-Houston game rated a 5.2 among adults 18-49, the key demographic for advertisers, and boasted a preliminary total of 16.4 million viewers. At the moment — ratings are adjusted upward as more reports roll in — that’s a 16.1 percent drop from last year’s kickoff between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
Critics of the league will point to the NFL’s newfound social justice activism as the reason for the decline. While that may be true, ratings are an inexact science, capable of detecting action but not motivation. Possible reasons for the initial decline include:

I expected it to be much lower, but it’s the first real game in a while and had lots of young stars, so you can see why the ratings were better than expected IMO

Wait forthe nfl to ramp up a pro USA campaign to reel back lost customers. Don’t fall for it.

I remember a couple years ago when ratings tanked, they tried to tell us it was because it was an election year that was distracting fans, or some crap like that

plus, some probably tuned in to see the train wreck. They wanted to see how woke the idiots are and now will not bother with future games.

I watched the game, because I love football, and I don't take my political views from athletes.
But I'm not surprised ratings are down. A lot of people said they weren't going to watch the NFL this season. A lot of snowflakes in this world. As it was, people who went to the game were booing while they were kneeling.

So, basically no decline. Interesting.

Wasn’t last years down quiet a bit as well?

Funny, I googled NFL ratings this morning, and all I got were articles about how the ratings being down was a thing of the past. Insane how google is throttling results the way they are.
I'm assuming that the NFL was pitted in a difficult position. Either get on board with the BLM message, and keep the players playing (they otherwise may have gone on strike), or not allow it and isolate a certain segment of the fan base but still have lower than usual viewership. Either way they're losing money.
In the end, they've gone to the extreme end of the spectrum and sold their souls. I'm the most disappointed in the Jones'.
All of this sparked over the police taking out a couple of pieces of trash.

16.1%????
Really? That's all?!! A LOT OF YOU ASSHOLES ARE LYING ABOUT BOYCOTTING.
It should have been down 30-35% at least from what I was gathering.

The NFL deserves some credit for getting a few things right last night:
* Only one player for the Chiefs kneeled during the National Anthem.
* Houston stayed in the locker room, so that no one could disrespect the National Anthem.
* There were no Burn Loot Murder displays.
* The "unity" display was a quick moment of silence.
* They did not display the names of rapists and thieves.
Overall, the NFL handled this game better than anything MLB, NBA, or MLS has done in the past. Those other groups should take note.

That’s what I was thinking as well. Anyone who’s voting for Trump should not be watching this garbage .
