Nextdoor posts about stolen signs - a pattern?

Our Nextdoor postings have been pretty good at keeping it to local issues, some exceptions, but lately we've had more than a few "someone stole my sign" threads. And it's always a Biden sign, and there is some veiled (or not veiled at all) comments about Trump supporters doing this.
The latest one is really fishy. They have security camera pictures of the perps. But it wasn't their house, someone else's house (but if you skim, you miss that). And some comments about "did you call the police", but no reply. So I ask, and she says something like "I assume they did", and when asked about why they said "their signs" if it wasn't their house, they said "our signs, Democrats"... So they seem like pretty involved in the Dem party, not just an individual with a sign.
And they use these pics to say "See, it's not kids!", because that's the usual response.
I'm getting suspicious. The pics could have been staged (false flag). Seems odd they don't know if the police were notified, but they post to our Nextdoor? The police might be able to put 2 + 2 together, they probably co-ordinate with neighboring police to see if they have any video of people stealing signs, or ask for neighbors cameras to get a plate number (the car is visible in the pic).
It all sounds orchestrated. Are others seeing similar posts on their Nextdoor neighborhood? I'm suspicious.

I've seen posts for both and think it's crazy. Regardless of who you support, that shite is theft and trespassing.

My neighborhood nextdoor is filled with posts about stolen signs as well. The comment sections get ugly pretty quickly. There are a lot of hurt feelings involved. We have Trump/Pence signs as well as Biden/Harris signs alike being stolen, however. It was also a big issue during the Beto wave in 2018. Ted Cruz signs and Beto signs being stolen all over. There were also complaints of signs being swapped during that time, and those instances were extremely funny to me especially.

I think Nextdoor is making me misogynistic. It’s nothing but barren cat ladies and dog moms. A bunch of miserable scolds and nosey hens.

My street got hit . They got my yard sign but couldn’t reach my flag. Funny how no one had their stuff taken 4 years ago . Only difference is lots of Californians have move in the neighborhood.

Yeah, maybe. From what I've gathered, there's a lot of variation. Our is actually fairly useful, we get updates on local issues before I can find it anywhere. Lots of lost cats and dogs, but that's OK. We just get these flare ups from time to time.

Are you in my neighborhood? This is what we got going on. They always just want "love, unity, and grace"....the first one stolen was a "frick trump" sign. She did not like that I pointed out the irony of her insisting on "unity, and care for their fellow man".

We had a long post a month or so ago scolding a random someone who "hit and run" a turtle! I thought it was a joke post, but it was clear after her follow-up replies to everyone that she is indeed a turtle woman.

Only one Biden sign in my neighborhood. The homeowner also has a license plate that reads, LAWYA4U.
