So if the government waits until the spit hits the fan - even though they had warning of something brewing - they are bad - "why didn't they act when they knew this could happen!".
If the government acts pro-actively, people say "what the hell are they doing that for, nothing is going on right now, why all the hysteria".
In other words, it's always bad, never good, people just can't be satisfied.

How many variants of the flu are there. I understand it is different every year. It is then a normal path for the flu virus. I hope they react but over reaction is worse than no reaction.

The truth as far as the virus goes is yes it is always bad because nothing you can do can stop it from spreading. People are going to get ill temporarily and some will die. So if it is inevitable, why are we allowing our government to incrementally encroach on our personal freedom?
