I agree but there's a flip side to this too, that everyone needs to consider.

A while back, someone posted the quote, "You don't attack an enemy to get them to the negotiation table. You attack to get them to surrender.'

This is a good quote and is usually relevant and applicable wisdom... except when dealing with Islam. These people, they don't surrender. It's literally dishonorable and against their religion to do anything other than WIN or DIE TRYING. There is no middle ground. If you're going to go after them, you have to be willing to dispatch them all. Think "the Bin Laden raid" where our SEALs just straight-up shot Osama's wives when they tried to throw themselves in the way of our commandos. There can't be any hesitation. I question whether Trump is truly willing to see it through the way it needs to happen.

Hegseth, I believe, is capable of giving that order and not thinking twice. He gets it. But Trump still seems to care about how things like that affect his image, as if the media would give him any positive coverage either way.

The reason this thing isn’t long over. The information all the time crowd doesn’t have the stomach for it.

You missed my sarcasm clearly

No, I got it ... I simply chose to ignore it and try to coax you into the actual intent of striking that particular command center, on the outskirts of their biggest city.

It sent a specific message. Nothing is untouchable.

That's not the only one they hit ... just the most impactful one, from a psychological perspective.

I'd also suggest that calls were coming out of there that we had probably been monitoring.

She was a pretty good poet ... she died in 1972. She would have been frustrated by social media, I think. Always so willing to bring sarcasm into a serious moment of consequence.

They aren’t exactly Westernized lily white crackers. Not saying they have the resolve of the Vietnamese, but our resolve to continue this conflict is very, very low. Which is why Trump keeps announcing that he’s won.

If this is true how is there a control and command center after the initial Epic Fury Campaign???

Modern Command and Control is mobile in times of war. Since wire was first laid in WWI, and wireless became prevalent in WWII.

Patton was the master.

That CCC was probably set up in an apartment building or office building that had existing, working, comms and fiber optics ... perhaps even dishes.

We let them set them up, get comfortable to the point where they think they are hidden or safe ... monitor their comms, then pop them when the time is right. Hopefully when decision makers were in the building.

You might be interested to learn that this is how Pearl Harbor started. If we take that stance we're putting a massive target on our back.

Suggesting we use nukes on Iran is completely unhinged. You should be able to figure that one out.

One of the reasons the Japanese attacked is we cut off their supply of oil. If we try to do the same to the Chinese do you think they'll just sit back and do nothing about it?

Do you think it's a good idea to trigger another world war? I don't.
