Why do we keep getting idiots as pope

Anyone that supports Abrego a wife beater and human trafficker has no concern for the welfare of Christians

Why are people surprised a pope is against deportations? I'll never understand.

What is your denomination so I can tell you how much I care about it?

Not judgment, but direct quotes! Which speak volumes.

I can provide you with several of his quotes that would agree with your (and mine) beliefs on certain issues. Careful to over politicize this. Guard against media reporting, etc. Liberal media will want to claim them as one of their own. They did the same with Francis. Francis had his faults, sure—namely getting involved in American politics and being far too ambiguous on certain issues, but the media took everything he said that could be seen as support for their beliefs and ran with it, while casting asides the ones that were not.

It was always a given that this Pope would be just as much of a Globalist puppet as the last one. This one might even turn out to be worse than Francis, because odds are he's smarter than the one who just died.

I never thought Francis was anything other than average regarding his intellectual acumen. He seemed kind of like the George W. Bush of Pope's to me.

Because clergy, like everyone else, should reject anything illegal (like illegal immigration and breaking a country's laws). Of course, from a church that regularly shelters pedophiles, nothing is too surprising.

Frick all the Popes and their hoax religion!

And I grew up in Catholicism thru college actually. Until I seen the light and realized they are one of the biggest crime organizations to ever walk the earth.

Both physically with little boat especially

And with stealing land and countries under the name of religion.

Frick them!!!!

They are part of the problem, DEEP STATE RELIGION!!

I’m glad our church doesn’t have a supreme leader.

Another commie pope and even pimping for a human trafficker.

In addition, this one is relatively young at 69. He could be around a very long time. And do a lot of damage.

Yea the church doesn’t control our immigration policy.

Also most Catholics that are conservative aren’t just going to start voting left because some pope doesn’t like our immigration policy.

So what is your answer to the question he posed?

He's from a missionary order of the Catholic Church. He does not think like you on these matters. His thinking and action on these matters are consistent with the Catholic Church going back . Immigration is not some new subject to the RCC.

I hear you, which is why I'm basically interested in quotes not interpretations.

But, I've also studied Latin American liberation theology, which was rife amongst the Catholic clergy in the 80s and after. He sounds thoroughly versed in it, which is a terrible sign.

Well now he's the pope and can bring them all to stay at Vatican City.

Does anyone think that happens, or does he not want to lead by example?

Pope Leo XIV also shared several articles that address Catholic JD Vance's stance on immigration. One of them is titled: 'JD Vance is wrong: Jesus doesn't ask us to rank our love for others.'

Vance needs to ask the pope if Vatican city will take in illegal immigrants and care for them.

I agree with this. I suspect illegal immigration is not a problem in Peru.
