The Supreme Court overturned the landmark abortion ruling Roe v. Wade Friday and Democrats were quick to call on voters to protect pro-choice House representatives, but a new poll shows abortion is still less crucial to voters than the economy.

A USA Today/Suffolk University poll released Friday showed just under 15% of likely voters viewed abortion as the most important election issue headed into the November midterms. A majority of respondents, 62%, said abortion is an important issue but not the most important one.

Just 23% of voters viewed abortion as a more important election issue than the state of the economy, which 66% said was most important to their vote, according to the poll.

How many of that 15% do you think have ever voted for any candidate with an (R) after their name?

Surprised it is that high. In other words 15 percent of Americans are outraged little shits with blue hair who don’t know the meaning of Federalism nor do they understand how tainted a decision like this from 50 years ago was to begin with.

Probably only 1.5%

It's all a show.

At this point I’d be surprised if 15% actually understand what actually happened yesterday anyway.

Kind of surprised it was that high.

I had dinner last night at a local restaurant. Before Covid it would have been filled with a waiting list. Last night it had 80% open seating.

Just another distraction to the real problems.

Oh noz guys!! The abortion issue is going to really fire up the Dems!!

They were going to let themselves get voted out in a free and fair election but now they are going to cheat super hard!!!

It doesn't say those in the 15% are all democrats.

There are plenty of "abortion is murder!" types on the right that would vote solely on that as well.

Same with the 62% that say it's important. It's important to those people for different, contrasting, reasons as well.

And that number will plummet over the next few months as everyone inevitably moves on to something else. Gas prices and inflation aren’t going away. They’ll only get worse.

Its a poorly written article, saw a similar article based on the same poll on Politico early this week. The 15% refer to just those opposed to overturning Roe. There were another %6 who also list it as their #1 issue, but were in favor of overturning. An +/-spread under 10%

How in the hell can 15% of people think that their "right" to slaughter babies is the most important issue in the country right now when inflation and gas prices are out of control?

I read it as 15% of Americas are too lazy to put a condom on.
