shite hole. After taking a road trip out west and then returning to work, having to drive through the 9th ward and such, can someone tell me one good thing about New Orleans? Or how about the state for that matter.

It's possibly the most European American city...

...that's all I got.

Should have left it flooded. Start over from scratch on the high ground by the river.

Just curious, why do you have to drive in the 9th ward?

Well, not much can refute this.

It's the largest exporting port in the country. Has nice architecture in many areas and has pretty damn good food and music.

It was a wonderful place back in the 50s. I could see the decline start in the 70s. Kept getting worse so I never went back after the 80s.

I like New Orleans. It has amazing history and architecture, and some of the best dining in the country.

Yeah, y'all do have a bit of a crime problem.

I wish we could sell New Orleans off to Mississippi but they probably wouldn't want it even if we paid them.

It has some good restaurants, but that doesn’t come close to outweighing the negatives. It’s a complete shite hole. If I never step foot in New Orleans again that would be fine with me.

We always have. It is an old port city and they all attract a rather high criminal element. Rotterdam, Hamburg and Marseille are all the most dangerous cities in their respective countries.

Historically, you might have something of a point. I don’t think the port has much of anything at all to do with “attracting” the current “crime element,” though.

Something tells me people in New Orleans won't really give a shite either.

I went to Austin to party in the early 90's.

I dated a "liberal" gal for a brief period of time recently, and we went to Austin. It's a complete shitehole, too. Trash, homeless people, the air is filled with pot smoke, and the buildings are decorated with graffiti.

The next iteration of this system will be liberals swinging from trees, eating the ticks off one another, and claiming it's "sustainable entertainment".

Remember a little over a year ago when the American left thought plastic straws were a HUGE issue?
