All recent polls show JBE with a 2-3.5% lead over Rispone. Combined with the large black early voter turnout, it appears JBE has the edge at this point.

Don't think so. Even if Rispone gets 2/3s of the undecideds, the race is essentially tied.

Wrong. Many Abraham voters will either vote JBE or not at all. Rispone's smear campaign against Dr Abraham cemented that.

The undecideds never break to the incumbent

This poll is showing JBE will get somewhere between 10-15% of the Abraham vote. This is probably about how it will end up.

Then why does Rispone have 46% now?

I mean, the poll asked that specific question and 10% of Abraham voters said they were voting for JBE this time.

We think first precincts / early voting will look good for JBE and then like in Kentucky Rispone will rally

No. The early votes are rural with the urban centers coming in after. Last to come in are always urban black areas in Baton Rouge and then lastly New Orleans East.

Sure but compare that to:

I don't think 10% counts as "many" in most semi-literate coherent minds.

If the idiots of Louisiana give the sloth another four years, this state is fricked. We’re losing the productive citizens by the assload on a daily basis. We’re almost left with nothing but liberals and leeches.

54% approval rating is damn good. JBE wins 52-48%.

The biggest shocker to me is the 54% approval for JBE Insanity
It's the way they ask the question, it's difficult to answer no/negative towards JBE. something like "Does a budget surplus for LA sound good." They called me a month or so ago asking similarly-structured questions about JBE's "accomplishments", I answered honestly knowing it would help JBE in the polls and I'm no fan of JBE.

54/38 approval rating tells me JBE probably squeaks out the slimmest of victories. Thats a hard number for a challenger to overcome.

No incumbent Governor has ever won a runoff, that's a hard number for an incumbent to overcome.

I think this is pretty close to where it'll end up.

The ones in the 5th Congressional district that Abraham represents and others in NW Louisiana that know of him very well understand quite well. Now the southern supporters may go more for Rispone, but not the North. Why do you think Trump is visiting Monroe and Shreveport? I assure you that of the Abraham voters across North Louisiana, JBE will get more than 10% of them.

If that's what the polls are saying then Rispone got this. I also see.Rispone signs eveverywhere but I've yet to see one sign for JBE.

Yep, will raise taxes on what's left of Louisiana. I'll be looking to relocate.

Rispone needs to hammer on the abortion issue. Call the ad actions over words and focus on JBE's pro-choice appointments.
