Abortion Rates are already falling

Lower abortion rates with demographic and economic breakdown

These laws not only wont work as intended, they arent even really necessary. At best, this is mostly political grandstanding.

Are you claiming there are fewer abortions today than when they were illegal?

I have no idea. Not sure anyone has that data. What I can tell you is that anyone that thinks abortion will suddenly end because you've made it illegal are sadly mistaken. Just like drug abuse, we are treating the wrong thing. The cure to abortion is education and changing the culture.

If what is being "aborted" is a living human being, then even one unnecessary abortion is too many.

They have been declining for years as birth control has improved and places like planned parenthood have been able to help educate and work on prevention. This is absolutely political grandstanding

Sort of like subpoenaing the Mueller report, huh? Only with actual lives being affected.

You don't really believe what you're preaching, as usual.

Shouldn't the father be sterilized also if you're going to do it to the mom for getting an abortion?

Gun violence, too, in that regard. They're effectively the same and they don't even realize it.

South Carolina has the same bill that Georgia just passed up for law. The heartbeat ban. So no movies here either I guess.

This is such a joke. Everyone learns at an early age if you spray her guts there is a chance she can get the preggers.

What they need to do is give condoms away in HS but then you'll have parents screaming bloody murder that the state is encouraging little Johnny to go on a frick spree.

If I were President my first day I would sign some EO's

1. Free birth control for all
2. Free drug rehab for all

Thank you, have a nice day. My work here is done.

Pretending to live in a world where things don't happen because people act in a way that makes them happen is also pretty stupid...and naive

Right, but it can be prosecuted like any other illegal activity.

This.

Outlawing premeditated killing of adults and children hasn't stopped "murder" from happening, but deterring crime is only a secondary benefit of enacting the law. The primary benefit is allowing for justice to take place by punishing the person(s) who broke the law.

Do you know how hard it is to adopt here? I have had several friends that have attempted to adopt here and at the last minute it would always fall through. It's sad but it's almost a better route to pay $30,000 and going the international adoption route just because it's easier. The adoption process needs to be fixed. However to use the flaws of the adoption process to justify abortions is just wrong.

Perhaps if women know that they are not legally able to get an abortion, more of them will take better protective measures against getting pregnant.

And, as we all know, men have nothing to do with women getting pregnant. It's 100% the woman's fault. Men have zero responsibility in terms of birth control.

Not at all, but unless a woman is being raped, she has more control over whether or not sex happens than a man does and she has to bear the consequences of the act even more so than a man does. Therefore, it's necessary for women to be the gatekeepers and ensure that all protective measures have been taken.

Men should also make sure those measures are taken, but since they don't have to carry a child for 9 months, they are less inclined to care in the moment.
