There is a scam going on in Africa. Let's say you're an OK soccer player in a crappy league in Liberia. An agent says you're great and if you give him whatever money you have he will transport you to Paris and you can make big money on a French soccer team. You hand over the money. He drops you off in Paris and he is never seen again. And you become homeless.
