Proactively going after Trump on 25+ made up "scandals" that never stick, in an effort to derail a duly elected President who has their collective number does not make eventual pursuit of justice for actual crimes committed "retribution".
The Spygate Dramatis Personae know what they did as they sought to derail Trump's campaign in 2016. They know what laws they broke. They know the full measure of their guilt. They know what they did as they continued the charade of the Russian collusion nonsense, well into the 45 Administration.
They thought they were totally in the clear, because HRC was going to win the election. All of it would be swept under the rug.
They never thought she would lose. In their haste to cover their tracks, they had to build the entire #MuhRussia narrative into this gigantic affair, even though it was less sturdy than chicken wire and tissue paper.
Now do the crimes committed through the 2020 election, up to and including signing off on the "has all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation" horse shite that the 51 "Intelligence Community experts" signed off on as they worked furiously to dEbOOnK the Hunter Biden laptop story.
(Would this be a good time to remind folks that Bolton was one of those signatories?)
Now add in the lawfare of 2022-2024.
Just because they sought to draw first blood vs. Trump, that doesn't make anything that's currently happening or will soon happen "retribution".

In other posts, it was stated that Bolton actively obstructed the declassification of certain docs requested by Congress, among other things.
