You’re treating “they were drug traffickers” as though it automatically answers the legal question. It doesn’t.
Whether someone is a criminal and whether the government acted lawfully are two separate questions. If the strike was lawful, cite the authority that made it lawful. If it was unlawful, cite the law that was violated. Simply repeating “they were bad guys” doesn’t resolve either issue.

Ask him if he was similarly outraged when Obama was targeting and killing an American citizen and two weeks later his son who was born in Denver?
Personally, in my book, -both actions were matters of national security-debatable in good faith under US law-but easily defensible. But the one that was killing American citizens-who have greater legal protections than random cartel drug runners-was the most egregious.
