I didn't know that sitting around waiting for your welfare check took a lot of energy.

You wouldn't have a clue, because you just want to endlessly dole out taxpayer cash. It's because it is the right thing to do across the board. Why should we fund their diabetes which just increases healthcare costs to everyone.
it's why everything financial that a liberal touches, fails.

Rice
Raw Beans
Raw Potatoes
Raw Fruit
Raw Vegetables
Milk
Ground Beef (w/limit)
Raw Pork (w/limit)
Raw Chicken (w/limit)
Canned Vegetables (w/limit)
There should be absolutely ZERO...
Beverages of any kind (drink water out of the tap)
Frozen Food of any kind
Steaks
Snacks in a box of any kind. A banana is a snack, not pop-tarts
Prepackaged meats like deli meat, hot dogs, sausage, etc
It is fricking insane that we pay for lazy, entitled, unemployed people that HATE America to eat and drink anything they want, become morbidly obese, and then also pay for their healthcare. It is only because of the massive amount of fraud and grift within our government that enabled this shite.

Instead of excluding, there should be a short list of approved items. Rice, beans, vegetables, protein.

There has to always be a first and hope every other state falls in line. SNAP should be the 5 food groups, great value brands, and that is it.

Now you’re about to see who HCFC and cola manufacturers have paid for.

You're the kind of person that prevents simple yet incredibly good change from happening.
Removing soda from SNAP is a HUGE win for the health of these kids. All this crap should be removed from public schools as well. Kids today are ingesting some really unhealthy ingredients.
Preventing them from getting steak doesn't really improve their health. That just makes you look really small and petty.

Why is Nebraska punishing black people?

They've been getting caffeine drinks like red bull on welfare?

Maybe I don’t want them all being fat as frick and getting diabetes who then go get free healthcare on my the taxpayer dime too which also raises the cost of healthcare for everyone.
If you didn’t make that correlation before now then you’re honestly a very stupid person.

This is the correct answer.

Back in my day, junk food was for special occasions or a Friday night movie night with a bag of chips, up until my brother and I were teenagers when we were eating more food than my mother could keep prepared. More pre-prepared and junk food certainly entered the equation, if my dad didn't eat it first. If there was a bag of chips in the cabinet, my dad and brothers were like jackals in a standoff on the African savannah.
It should never be part of anyone's regular diet, much less poor people who rely on other people to buy them food.

In what way?
I included red meat in the form of ground meat, and even that is being incredibly generous.
MANY middleclass hardworking Americans aren't buying steaks right now because they are trying to stay afloat without maxing out credit cards, and you want to sit here as same that Im "small and petty" because I don't want welfare recipients to get free fricking steak?
There's hundreds of things kids that were dealt a bad hand by having incredibly shitty parents can do to improve their own health that doesn't include you and I purchasing steaks for them at their leisure.
As a matter of fact, I revise my previous statement.
SNAP should include ONLY rice & raw beans. That is ALL someone needs to survive, because they go to public school (if there shitty parents make them) and they already get 2 FREE meals a day. How in the hell is that not generous enough already?
And you want to grandstand about fricking steak? Seriously?

Okay, first of all you're falling into a class warfare trap.
Secondly, this is about health and removing the toxic crap from the diets of kids by simply not funding it.
Lastly, if you can't afford steak, you're not middle class. You're lower class.

Trump pushed for a box of goods mailed to your house instead of buy what you want snap benefits. I think most people realized it was bad for small town grocery stores. So why can’t he box of goods be bought at the store?
