I'm glad you posted this. As a greeter and in church security I haven't thought about checking in parked cars. I guess I need to walk the lot after everybody gets in and then watch for late arrivals. Thanks!

I'm in rural central Oklahoma and I can tell you with certainty that the overwhelming majority of churches here have CCP holders (usually with LEO, military or other tactical experience) that coordinate and act as undercover armed security teams. I know many of these people, and have been one myself. The county's lone Episcopal church is vehemently anti-gun yet even they have permit holders as their vigils.

The crazy thing is that most of the congregations are just there to worship and have absolutely no clue of the potential danger in simply doing so, nor do they have a clue that there are armed fellow worshippers among them who are willing to defend them to the death.

You would have shot him?

Had he done that at the Baptist church in this little town there is no doubt in my mind he would not have made it to the sanctuary.

Just curious, were they Musk's flamethrowers? I saw one for sale at a NM truckstop some years ago. Musk hadn't become the cultural icon yet, and I really didn't need a flamethrower that day. Looking back I kind of regret not buying it.

Maybe it was 500 rounds of ammo for the crossbow?

Historically, our churches have been soft targets. We didn't have to worry about or consider terrorists attacking us there. Times have changed. That soft target perception is disappearing now.
